Terima kasih (I hope I spelled it right), I'm a South Chinese guy with a keen interest in SE Asian cultures and languages. I speak a Tai-Kradai language native to South China and I feel that I can understand some Bahasa Melayu. For instance, the color black in Tai-Kradai is Ndaem, which is a cognate with Malaysian and Indonesian Hitam. The pronoun for 3rd person singular is De, and I know in Indonesian it's Dia.

@@weifan9533Dangggg that's cool! Didn't know Tai-Kadai languages influenced bahasa in those words. Must have been from early contact with Proto-Austronesian I presume. Which language was it again?

@@imagonnasah8319 I think it's likely because either Tai-Kradai derived from Austronesian or both derived from a common Proto-Austronesian ancestor. The language I speak is called Zhuang in Mandarin and Vah Cuengh in Zhuang language.

@@imagonnasah8319 Even words for some animals are similar. For instance the word for ant in Zhuang is Mot or Moed and in Indonesian it's Semut. The word for mosquito in Zhuang is Nyungz and in Indonesian it's Nyamuk.

I'm Chinese from France, but usually, when we ask about a road they often say " I don't know" too and we are not black, even in Hong Kong ! But of course, some are very friendly. Fel, what you are wearing is not Hanfu, only the girl is wearing Hanfu. Your attire looks more like a traditional mongolian/manchurian-inspired outfit. A lot of Chinese tend to mix the Manchurian shit into the Hanfu stuff and I hate it, but you both look great anyways.

I'm not gonna lie, her Mandarin accent is better than at least 80% of Chinese. She sounds very Beijing-ish, if I only listen to her speech and don't see her look I'd imagine her to be someone from Beijing or surrounding cities in North China.

@@weifan9533 No, I don't agree with you, her 4 tones are ok, but she doesn't pronounce precisely cause she doesn't use the right parts of her tongue to pronounce some words like " 做，們，去，吃，放....etc. " , she has an obvious foreign accent, definitely not better than at least 80% Chinese, far from the Beijing accent. She can speak fluently but her pronunciation is not that good actually. I like her videos, but I'm telling the truth.

Great stuff, speaking Chinese, and as someone in the U.K. who grew up on Bruce Lee and martial art movies, I too took an interest in China. Have visited and don’t follow the crass stereotypes as I became educated. It’s good African visit China. However, only one criticism is that Rosie, Baby Queen is far too hyped up, too excitable and needs to tone down and present a more mature persona of African womanhood. Entertain? Educate? With her talent, Baby Queen minimises her role model persona. Can’t like if all you’re about is attention seeking. Africa is in crisis, rebellion. Please put forward a serious, friendly face and not a pop culture version of who we are, posing, attention seeking and artificial. Sorry but have to tell it as I see it.

One thing you have to appreciate about the black culture is our confidence. we can go anywhere in the world be around different types of people and our confidence will still be the same. This is the one that stands out the most. Our energy introduces us before we even speaks. Accept me as I am or don’t at all. We also love hard as long as the love we receive from everyone is genuine
