scalpelli MTV2 you mean? Because when this song came out MTV pretty much stopped playing videos except for TRL around then. And when this song and video came out, I also have fond memories of Another Morning Stoner, Clint Eastwood and Schism was as well and between the 4 bands that put those out at that time, it had a major impact on the way I listen to and enjoy music. You dig on any Trail of Dead, Gorillaz or TOOL?
@Hunter Jenkins Not in Germany and Sweden. MTV kept playing music here, and we had VIVA, VIVA2 and also VIVA plus back then. Several music TV channels. Trail of Dead are actually friends of mine. I wasn't yet friends with them when AMS came out tho and I remember how it blew me away. Great video, great song, great energy. S,T&C is one of my fav albums by them to this day. My other most fav bands from those days are The Cooper Temple Clause. One of the most underrated bands ever imo.
This video is actually how I discovered these guys back in the day. I was blown away by their sound. I think its basically stripped down pure rock and roll
Every time I bring friends to a BRMC gig they're blown away. Never seen a bad performance in 10+ times. I love each and every album but Love Burns as a song will always be my favourite
Its weird, I remember they were one of those bands with The Strokes etc, but now this song 110k views while the stroke ones from the same time have millions. In my mind they were equally big.
@@Infyra Yeah in fact, while it was still part of the 'justtt under what's truly popular' playlist of MTV2 at the time, this video (and band) was getting consistently played nationally at a point when the Strokes were still just a NYC-buzz band. I was 14, I bought the record, and I remember when the REALLY fuzzy/noisy parts would kick in, I kept thinking I might have a defective disc, lol. Of course, Velvet Underground, JAMC, My Bloody Valentine etc became some of my favorite bands. Not to take anything away from the Strokes, they were a kick in the ass rock needed at the time, but even though both this band and them openly borrowed stylistic elements from the past, I felt like BRMC added enough twists and turns, or perhaps even just mixed it in an odd enough way, to end up with something more legitimately new, where The Strokes were more of a straight-up just redux of the past...an exciting redux, but a redux none the less.
Nick fuckin' Jago, I will never forget that feeling, when i first heard you playing the drums. This absolutely changed my life. BRMC until the end of the world
I like that they are not high profile, amazing band and their output over 20 years has been incredibly consistent. And 7.3k likes and zero dislikes plus 734 K views means that there is a lot of appreciation out there for them, and deservedly so!
Never thought I'd see her go away She learned I loved her today Never thought I'd see her cry And I learned how to love her today Never thought I'd rather die Then try to keep her by my side Now she's gone love burns inside me Now she's gone love burns inside me Now she's gone love burns inside me Nothing else can hurt us now No loss, our love's been hung on a cross Nothing seems to make a sound And now it's all so clear somehow Nothing really matters now Now we're gone and on our way Now she's gone love burns inside me Now she's gone love burns inside me Now she's gone love burns inside me She cuts my skin and bruise my lips She's everything to me She tears my clothes and burns my eyes She's all I want to see She brings the cold and scars my soul She's heaven sent to me Now she's gone love burns inside me Now she's gone love burns inside me Now she's gone love burns inside me Never thought I'd leave you like the way I do, yeah Kiss my love and I wish you're gone You can kiss my love and I wish you're gone Never thought I'd leave you like the way that I do Kiss my love and I wish you're gone You can kiss my love and I wish you're gone Now she's gone love burns inside me Now she's gone love burns inside me Now she's gone love burns inside me
Still have their sticker (I think that came with the second album?) stuck to the back of my bass. Will never forget going to their Brixton Academy show in 2003 and then somehow going to the after party (Har Mar Superstar's birthday) at the Camden Bar Fly where they played again and I was front row.
Bottom-up rebellion begins in the quiet of the night The naive able-bodied armed with demons The time-delayed intensity of double negation I have been listening to this band for twenty years, It is only a force.
one of the many many many many songs by my favoruite band - along with the rollimg stones - that i adore, and it's cool that this was posted on a sept 7, it's my b-day, in 2016 i turned 47

I used to listen to this song and the entire album when I was in highschool, this is so cool. I still love it of course ! " Never thought I'd see her go away She learned I loved her today Never thought I'd see her cry And I learned how to love her today Never thought I'd rather die Than try to keep her by my side Now she's gone love burns inside me Nothing else can hurt us now No loss, our love's been hung on a cross Nothing seems to make a sound And now it's all so clear somehow Nothing really matters now Now we're gone and on our way Now she's gone love burns inside me She cuts my skin and bruise my lips She's everything to me She tears my clothes and burns my eyes She's all I want to see She brings the cold and scars my soul She's heaven sent to me Now she's gone love burns inside me Never thought I'd leave you like the way I do, yeah Kiss my love and I wish you're gone You can kiss my love and I wish you're gone Never thought I'd leave you like the way that I do Kiss my love and I wish you're gone You can kiss my love and I wish you're gone Now she's gone love burns inside me "
i ve been to a concert of this outstanding band. they are real musicians. they played the piano they played the harp they played of course the guitar, they played the bass, they sang like angels. it was still with nick on the drums. but all of this was just like blow you off your fuckin mind! thats what they did, they just blew me out of my fuckin mind. i really cant describe how much i love this band. did i take substances. yes. does it affect my judgement. no. this will be my top 5 band till the day i die.
This goes high in my top ten favourite songs ever. Heard it first on the radio just staring just as i started a car I "borrowed" a bit when I was 16 I was so fkd everything was close and far away hahaha! Good time! Love. 🎩👍🦋
Yeah great very underrated band. But when they changed direction, the first listen l knew it was lights out. This track is very Primal scream vibe. But sounds great.
Only over a hundred Comments wow this song is the sh.t . Underappreciated anthem . Nick Jago is missed but still this band are still not that well known still make damn good music .
Such a great band! The debut album is in the top 5 albums I've ever heard. Second only to Oasis Definitely Maybe as the best debut album by a band I've heard.
