Joe, This is an absolutely spectacular video, from beginning to end! I think the opening might have been my favorite part with a great selection of detailed shots with seamless transitions. Not to mention, a great selection of shots with great compositions and great colors! Very impressive film, Joe!
Incredible production!! Black River and Western #60 is one I have not seen in person yet, but I definitely plan to once it is back in service; and I am definitely looking forward to it even more now after watching these excellent scenes!!
This is amazing. I really don’t know what else to say. The way you bring so much life into your videos is simply incredible. I can’t wait for the full 2102 video sometime in the future!
Yes! New video! Thank you so much for making such pieces of art! You are an inspiration to me. So much, that I'm filming cinematic videos of trains myself.
And even a month later, I gotta say this. I forgot to in the first place. The shot at Ringoes was literally *perfect.* That rainbow really added such a special touch to it, along with the camerawork.
I've ridden on that beauty twice. But I think it's been restored since I saw her last. First time I was a kid probably late 1960's. Second time was shortly after I got married, either 1978 or 79.
This was absolutely stunning. I think it was the best steam video I have ever seen. You deserve a longer, more flowery comment full of praise but I'm at a loss for words.
It's so strange because it's the little things that bring you back home, the shot of Copper Hill Trestle with the Canada Geese just sounded exactly like home to me. It really is strange.
Thanks - yeah, same for me. Sometimes it’s those little details that just make it. I was lucky enough to have the geese give me such an almost choreographed performance. I’m pretty sure my mouth was hanging open in surprise during that shot. But like you said - it wasn’t just the visuals - the sound of the geese was equally as important. I am glad you appreciate those details the same way I do.
This is beautifully produced; a story well told. I was proud to have one of my vintage photographs in a show at the O. Winston Link Museum this past year and your tip of the hat, masterfully done, did not go unnoticed. Exceptional good work and thank you.
It too me way to long to finally watch this. Out of all the videos that weekend I think you made the best. From trackside to cab ride the shots and locations are fantastic. Great video, and for a joke it was totally great not seeing you that weekend 😂.
Joe Fusco he always makes great RU-vid videos of steam. I’ve been a follower since R&N 425 returns. Way way back around 2008! Pretty sure I actually know him and met him many times trackside and @ RSME just can’t put a face to the name anymore. But I’m certain we will cross paths again and then I’ll remember. I never forget a face.
Thank you! Luck is a strong word - we had to hunker down for at least a whole hour waiting for some of the more torrential rains to pass. The rainbow was a consolation prize, but well worth it! Either way the weather made for a dramatic show. Glad you enjoyed it!
