I'm very pleased you gave a high rating to Technical Ecstasy. This album got a lot of flak for some reason, but I liked it from the first listen. I think though my favourite Sabbath album is Vol.4.
Black Sabbath may be my favourite band. Hard to rank, ask me next week it could be different. Especially the top 6; 19) Seventh Star (I really dislike the power ballads on this album, make it sound like AOR). Born again is a masterpiece! Gillan at its best. Its not a pop album and it is written for the hard core fan. The Iommi/Gillan duo worked great. I wish they would give it a go one more time, they shoud have retained Bob Daisley to write as the writing seems to be really uninspired. But that chemistry worked well. the tour was also very good. Id say the same for "Dehumanizer" I still feel Dio was better for sabbath than Ozzy, even tough Ozzy kinda made Sabbath. Mob Rules proves my point!Live Evil is one of the best live albums ever!!! Seventh Star is not Black Sabbath! Common. you lost me there! Glenn Hughes does not work well with Iommi. worst choice of singer hes had! The Eternal Idol had one really good song; "The Shining" other than that its a generic album, but tat song was superb. really good

Technical Ecstacy Sabbath is my favorite band of all time and the first 10 are the only albums I consider when ranking the albums. The first six are impossible for me to rank. Never Say Die is a great album. Only the first two tracks of it are weak in my opinion. Air Dance is a masterpiece and ranks with the best of the best. And I agree about Born Again. It is an awful album.
Born Again overall in the the Black Sabbath catalog ranks up there to me, agree the cover is spooky. Didn't like the cover on Sabotage and never bought it in the 70's got it a few years ago and absolutely Love it! I love the 13 album! Seventh Star is a great album. Technical Ecstasy is a great one along with Never Say Die! Sabbath Bloody Sabbath you rank number 1. I have to listen to that one a few more times discover what I had missed 45 years ago! I enjoyed your review of such a great band! We don't have to agree which albums we like better, but we can agree on one thing Black Sabbath is Great!
We differ a lot on Born Again and The Devil You Know. You should listen to Fear from TDYK. My favorite track. Blistering. We do totally agree on Technical Ecstasy. This was my first Sabbath album. I love every track. It holds a special place in my heart and yes I like She's Gone. 13 is bottom of the list. It actually annoys me, they shouldn’t have done it. Master of Reality is my no.1 I actually really like Born Again Just needs a remix🤷🏻♂️

Great list. I totally disagree with your rankings but that`s half the fun! Agree Technical Ecstasy is underrated but not as good as any of the first six for me. My top 5 would be 1. Vol 4, 2. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, 3. Sabotage, 4 Heaven & Hell, 5 Master of Reality. Difficult to rank them though. So many great albums.

Yes to all but Rush. The only ones I would know well enough to rank are Megadeth and Deep Purple. The other bands I haven't listened to all their albums.
