the riff from under the sun IS one of the heaviest sounding riffs ever, and absolutely one of the most evil . It instantly makes me picture a hoard of evil creatures stampeding from hell
@@mikek8553i think Tony has become more known for the “Old Boy” SG with John Birch Pickups because that was one of his main axes for a good portion of his career post Ozzy/ As Dio came in(it was first used for overdubs on the heaven and hell era), and you really can tell a difference between early Ozzy sabbath. And that first Dio album, and on throughout the years with Dio, Tony Martin, Glenn Hughes, Ian Gillain, on and on, till 13 with Ozzy again
Yet another great one from the riff master Iommi great video as always Steve. All you younger players should thank Steve for keeping Iommis riffs alive.
Volume 4 and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath will always be my two favorite Sabbath albums followed by Masters of Reality. Zappa was a huge fan of Volume 4 and loved "Supernaut" in particular.
thanks Steve! Great work, I appreciate you making this lesson, amazing riffage from Tony and the lyrics have been speaking to me since 5th grade! I think you just converted me to sign up for the full tab and bass.
Glad you enjoyed the lesson! One of my all time favorites as well. I’m really excited about the library of guitar / bass tabs we’ve been curating over on Patreon and am super excited for all the new lessons / tabs in the works!! Hope you enjoy it!!
Cool, one of the best tracks from that magnificent album. If someone wants to check out the Boss HM-2 version of this song...listen to the cover done by Entombed.
🤘👹👹🖤🖤👹👹🖤🖤👹👹🖤🖤👹👹🖤🖤👹👹🤘💯 Hej bracie Black Sabbath i zajebiej gry na gitarze 🎸perfekt rewelacja moc potęga siła petarda bomba ogień po prostu super pod każdym względem.
personally I prefer to learn the solos from covers and live performances. it sucks ass for the first few weeks but it makes you improve technically and musically ten fold once you get it down.
@Malakai DeMoines yea thats cool, but the solos in this one are very quiet and tricky and he mixed 2 or 3 different solo tracks at the same time so its very difficult. Also if I would try to learn them by ear and spend a lot of hours, I probably wouldnt get them right, especially from covers where they usually dont play the actual solo but improvise...
@@eci100ja look up under the sun black sabbath cover, I learned the solos from three different guys and put em all together the way I found it to sound best. if you're going for pin point accuracy maybe a sabbath song isn't for you, because you'll need a full band to find that sound
@@malakai.2025 I think... I never learn both of the solos that go at the same time cause I play for myself in my room so it isnt that important to me, I usually learn what sound the best.
Master of Reality is actually the first album tuned to C# standard. Prior to that they recorded in E standard although live they were playing in Eb standard at times.
@@DoesItDoom My mistake. His tabs are always hanging it seems lol years ago songs like Cornucopia and even Sabra Cadabra were listed as 2 steps down.I even remember some tabs from the late 90's saying 2.5 steps down on some songs but your cover sounded spot on.My whole world is shattered now without that half step more down
@@timt2202 free internet TABS are pretty far off more often than not, in my experience, which is why we spend so much time trying to make ours as accurate as possible. You can see the whole list here: www.patreon.com/posts/33335261
I'm not a player myself (just interested in looking into songs) but that guitar tone is beautiful! Which is your favourite Doom Metal band /album? Thumbs up from India \m/
