Vol 4 , Sabbath Bloody Sabbath ,and Sabotage is the bands high point ,vol is to me the heaviest album of all time

Don't sell Oz short, it took alot of guts, determination, luck and skill to essentially start again from scratch. And his solo stuff was consistently great. Granted those guys involved over the years often times deserved more credit than they received, especially Bob Daisly, and Jake E. Its still Ozzy's vocal melodies and tone that has kept him successful thru so many changes over the years.

@@lauratanner8475 You are giving credit for things that happened around him. The musicians and writers were assembled for him. His first few albums are great, but they were written for him. He's more of a miracle of strong management than anything else.

@@booshting3520 he didn't write the lyrics, geezer wrote Sabbath's lyrics and Bob Daisly wrote (mostly) the lyrics for Ozzy's solo work. But Ozzy did write the vocal melodies for both Sabbath during his days with them, and for his solo work.

Tony is the ultimate riff lord. He introduced a sound that was never heard before and it is the foundation of heavy rock. The dude chopped his finger and still never gave up on guitar. I don’t think he gets enough love.

“‘Never say die’ is a terrible album.” Me: ‘Junior’s eyes’, ‘Swinging the chain’, ‘Hard Road’, ‘Never say die’. Ozzy hated it because it had lingering influences from the previous singer. The issue with ‘Never say die’ is the awful production.

I agree with Ozzy. "Never Say Die!" was Sabbath's worst album. "Heaven and Hell" was a breath of fresh air, and far superior to the two previous albums.
