Aren't the main characters of assassin's Creed supposed to be the ancestors of the main character. If their ancestor was homosexual how do they have children and continue the lineage. I remember the OG games having detailed descriptions of buildings, places and events that took place/existed in those era's. You were actually walking inside history. Which was of course embellished for the sake of the larger than life story. I took my sweet time reading a lot of the backgrounds to learn a thing or two before I went back to stabbing people and climbing impossible surfaces. Im not a pro historian, but i know what i know. 1st - Yasuke had neither the time nor the opportunity to become a samurai. After all, one starts on this path as a child - at the age of 5 or so. That is MINIMUM 10 years of training. But it is also true that for the amusement of the spectators, the Japanese dressed Yasuke in samurai armor, gave him a katana and forced him to do blows with it from different stances. But that's all. This did not make him a samurai. 2nd - Fortunately or unfortunately, Japan had “male romance” since ancient times and no one really tryed to hide it. 3rd - I advise you to find out who exactly Ubisoft hired as a historical consultant regarding Japan during the time when the game takes place. I'll give a little hint - She also specializes in "male romance" of ancient Japan.

Yes he was no samurai but seems he ranked up over time and did even fight for nobunaga later. But still ubisoft had a big chance to make a story with myamoto musashi or similar figures. But sadly they choose yasuke for whatever reason reasons

I have family from Japan and my nephew who games is insulted. They changed the history surrounding the figure from retainer to samurai which is in their history books really left them feeling insulted.
