It really is amazing. It’s been a major Ammo depot for the pacific fleet since WW2. Some of the ships are really cool looking. 🏴‍☠️🙂

Normally I wear be water shoes but accidentally left them at home that day. Definitely don’t recommend going barefoot. 🏴‍☠️🙂

I pretty much never go barefoot but forgot my water shoes at home and I have definitely cut cr p out of my feet. I’m starting to have an extra set in the car at all times. 🏴‍☠️🙂

Glad to see you ignoring the tones and numbers around those black sands and showing that it could be anything. My area of the country is so mineralized you have the dig every target no matter what it sounds like, zinc and lead mining has gone on since the late 1800's. Always looking forward to the next video.

Thank you so much Tommy. It goes back to my very first detector. I bought a whites DFX 2:02 from an old guy name Len. Len told me what all the numbers meant. Then he said. “ don’t pay attention to any of that, just dig everything!”🏴‍☠️🙂

@@piratemikestreasure He was right, almost 40 years ago I was taught the same thing, my time being able to detect was broken up a lot over the years and I'm just now able to pick it back up again since I retired early. Love watching your videos!

We tried black sand beaches at Pacifica and the detectors went off every time we touched the sand or rocks....we didn't find anything!! what were we doing wrong?

What detectors are you using? I find my equinox can handle a pretty good amount of black sand but there are areas that it is really really thick that the machine overloads. I do have to turn down the sensitivity drastically when there is a lot of black sand. It’s very hard to work in. 🏴‍☠️🙂

It actually drives me nut that I do it. Once you start you can’t stop. It’s a stupid game to see if you can find one of each coin to kill the boredom of digging 500 zinc Pennie’s and pull tabs. I does make the time go by. I will try to see if I can go a whole hunt and wrap up without doing it. That might be my new challenge. 🏴‍☠️🙂
