The song tells a story of a young man called Kwaku the traveller who left home to pursue his dreams(of becoming a musician) in a faraway place. The journey has been full of difficulties and pain but being a hustler, he refuses to give up. He makes a lot of mistakes along the way but admits that everyone makes a mistake and so he'll not be put down by it. Kwaku the traveller admits that he's young and naive and society should not be too harsh on him for the mistakes he's committed. He reminds the people in his village that he'll return home one day, a successful man; they should keep his name in their minds: a hustler called Kwaku The Traveller. They miss him and he misses them. He's depressed and hooked on marijuana but the young hustler knows he can't fail and must achieve his dreams at all costs. He's born for that shit(music) and he must surely succeed in it.
Exactly, the way he uses his voice. Also, the way he speaks the Twi language with such intensity in the low register, plus the processing it feels hot like boiling water - I feel the exhaustion in the voice
This song is absolutely something that would NEVER EVER go away. It's a full storyline of the average hustler out there on a strive to thrive with relentless stride.
Verse 1 Kweku Killa don't lie when I say I did it, I did it Big stacks big cash my way but still I fumbled it Under one minute Still I can't believe But I can't blame myself for this shit I knew mandem was born for this shit Of course I fucked up Who never fuck up hands in the air, no hands? My brother Kwaku travelled to,,BRAZIL for over 30 years, I am 31 and have never set eyes on him. He came back last Sunday and three days later Kwaku The Traveller 🧳 is released. I missed my senior brother but this song makes it more emotional 😭 for me. Welcome Home Bro Kwaku.
I love the way you breakdown everything about every song you post on your page from the rhythm, lyrics, instrumentals, vocals and motives....I HAIL YOU🙌🙌🖤🖤🖤
It's nice to see you appreciating Ghanaian music even with the language barrier.... But like you said rightly Black Sheriff bridges that gap well . This tells how well you know music. That's cool. Great reaction 😃
I have been crying 😭 with goosebump. I downloaded this song today and I have listened it 20 times already and I don’t why am crying 😭 so hard 😭😭😭😭😭 I’m from Nigeria 🇳🇬 but i have given this jam a massive respect kwaku the traveler🇬🇭. He has made me to remember wyclef 🙌
You got a new subscriber for you breakdowns and analysis both on over his voice and the instruments too. His music indeed bridges gaps and boundaries. Big ups men💪
Black Sherif ⚫◼⬛♟▪✒.....this song is emotional and piercing. Speaks true of the journey hustlers are in. This song will go far! To the Grammys! Black to the World!
This song is currently the N01 🎵 in 🇳🇬 across all platforms and equally trending worlwide. This reminds me of the " Shatta Wale's Media Fracas" against Nigerian Music Industry and the entire listening community. Nigerians have been used to good music irrespective of where it comes from. We shouldered AWILO LONGOMBA in the days of Macossa to the whole world. The R2BEES once had their best collaborations with the likes of WIZKID and WANDE COAL of the MOHITS. SARKODIE came through with so much flames and venom on many songs across the continent, most of which were from 🇳🇬.The list is endless! I am not surprised that BLACKSHERIF is trending globally right now, he was in Lagos with BURNA last December after their collaboration which became an anthem at a point. The fact is, Blacksherif is fantastically good at what he does and any musically oriented individual will get attached to the sound of his vocals without any bias. So, for CUBSCAM to react by saying " we are all travelling " on this song means a lot. Big ups 💪 🙌 to everyone who did justice to this song..#SuperDrill💪👌
