I Have run this a couple of times. Instead of the PCs being the provided misfits (most of who would not make good DG agents because of a lack of skills and cover agencies) I have a an outside team arriving, AFOSI agents, Airforce Lawyers, coming to interview some of the base personnel about their past crimes, and an Helicopter crew ) Being outsiders and being figures of the authority that placed many of the base staff here they are distrusted and begin to feel isolated from the start. Last party escaped by helicopter with 3 of the base personnel just before the clean up crew arrived.
Waiting for the hardback to arrive. I may be playing it, so it could potentially be a while for me to get to it, however, I do have Jack Frost on the way.
@@BudsRPGreview I just finished "Iconoclasts" (using the PDF version) and it took us 6 sessions. I think it's Delta Green's version of "Masks of Nyarlathotep"...quite deadly to PC's but even better than "Impossible Landscapes". 😮
Bud, love the good work as always. What new players/Handlers might value are your consolidated thoughts on the "best" adventure collection for Delta Green, given we now have three of them, from memory. 'Black Sites' is great but I'm not personally sure I would have wanted to start here, especially not with "Lover". I'm sure others would appreciate a handy overview.
I think I would still rate the three collections the same - Night at the Opera>Black Sites>Control Group - though I would put Impossible Landscapes ahead of those.
Wait until you try "Iconoclasts". The mini-campaign set in Iraq in 2016. I just finished this great DG adventure. If your characters survive (and that's a big IF)...it could lead to a greater campaign set in the current year. I think it's the best DG scenario thus far.
Great review, finally got to see one of your Delta Green reviews, after playing this at Grogmeet! I really enjoyed this scenario, though everyone tells me whilst it's good, it's not representative of Delta Green. Wondering where to go next...
Hey, bud. Sorry, I'm always trying to pick your brain. In your opinion, what is the best operation to use on brand-new players? Possibly even players new to TTRPGs.
