Doing a very similar build on a bike i just got ahold of, was a ratrod, mix of harley and yamaha parts, finished product should be very similar to this :) gives me hope seeing this amazing work
I need to build a seat like that for my swingarm VLX600. Rode the bobber seat 400km non stop a day and my cheeks were numb, thought I shit myself atleast 3 times on the trip.
Really impressed with your work and all the custom touches everywhere. The pipe ends are unique, self made I assume? Do you use any baffles in your pipes or are they just straight through?
Love the bike especially the seat setup Do you remember what Roland Sand seat it was? Was wondering if it was the sportster seat or the softail one as on their website they look identical but no doubt they are a different size. Thank you in advance!
looks like it would be easy enough to build a hardtail on one of those bikes, but it has the apperance of a hardtail bike, so perhaps no point in doing so. looks and sounds really nice !
I can't seem to find the seat in the provided link. Also do you guys know when the fenders will be available again? Beautiful build, the exact seat set up I was looking for!
Tail End Customs I like it it's different. Plus having the disc brake on the other side shows off the wheel better. On my 1100 I did the xs front wheel swap and shaved the right hand brake mounts.
Top notch build. Actually, all of your builds are top notch... but this one is just great. I'm wonder if the front wheel is standard? It looks as if it had a larger diameter than the standard one?
Love the paint on the bike and the exhaust is clean. The sissy bar/lic plate holder are you going to hide the wire that runs to the light or leave it as is?
Thanks, I left it like that on purpose. It is cloth vintage wire so it's made to be shown. Wasn't really a way to hide it so I just showcased it. I dig it. Some may not.
Hello I have 2000 Vstar . I was wandering what kind of throttle housing did you use so it would fit Vstar cable threads ? All what I can find is housing for Harleys :( Thank you !
I'm about to score a shadow and "bobber" it. unfortunately, I don't know where to begin. how do the rear wheels look low? Suspension kit or chopping frames, etc...?
What did you pull the front end from? Not stock is it? I been looking around for one for 2004 xvs1100 project I've been doing, and keep getting tempted to use stuff from older model dirt/trail bikes.. ?? almost looks like what you did here? If so fuck ye, rad, and its what i needed to have the nuts to try it! lol Any advice either way?
Nice Build. I just about got my 2001 v star 650 dialed in. I noticed that this did not have the AIS. Did you do the AIS removal and was there a significant difference in performance?
Thanks yes I did the AIS removal on all my vstars. I don't think it adds performance. It's more of a declutter and emissions removal. It does help remove a decel pop from what I hear but I always rejet and do pipes and air cleaner so I don't know the gains of doing AIS alone. Thanks
Hi , I love the bike, I was wondering if you had more details about the handle bars, Zombie performance only has them in 114mm 100mm and 3.5 inches riser spacing, do you know which you have? I have the same bike as you, just 2009.
is that just an aftermarket solo seat? looking to do a SS Custom BKB rear fender... that seat looks like it would fit and flow withthe lines of the tank and fender.
I am wondering about the carb placement both manifolds go straight up under the tank and the carb is hidden I want to know what it looks like under the tank?
Tail End Customs great job. I am part way through bobbing mine and wondering how you mounted the seat. It looks like the fender is mounted to the swing arm and you have your seat bolted to the fender. Did that not stop the swing arm from moving?
I had to use a hardtail strut to make rigid. Then I cut out the stock seat crossrail and welded in a flat stock piece to get it a little lower. Then yes I mounted to frame and to rear fender.
+Tail End Customs ah ok I love the look but I'm not up for the ride on a hard tail so I guess that leaves me less options. Sciatic nerve is a bitch, 22 years working a trade wont tolerate a hardtail as awesome as it looks. Beautiful job though man.
Awesome, since leaving this comment I lowered my 2000 vstar and couldn't be happier! little rougher ride but definatly worth it. Super sharp looking ride you have there!!
hey how much do you charge do transform a 2000 yamaha v star 650 classic into a bobber like this? or the bobber like your 2000 model, which is also mean lookin bike!
Is it normal i get more excited watching your bobber videos than porn :) Ok now for tech talk. What did you use to block the big hole on the back of the front cylinder where the lower air filter mount was?
Hello again, do you know if GAK mod is still available from Gregg Zivney? His web site seems to be a bit outdated - last posts from mid 2015... Thanks!
I'm not sure. It's been a while since I've purchased from him. You may want to email him but if his store is still up I'm sure he is still taking orders.
Piotr Kowalski looks like he does not sell anymore for the pass 8 months or so but I have a buddy that sells the kit now. Here is his contact info. C.Genau@yahoo.com 802-999-6699
Very nice job, But I don't like the pilon sticking up in the back. I think it ruins the look. Better to mount a small tail light on the fender and put the license plate on the side.
I'm doing the same thing on my 2007 vlx 600 and I need to know if I could buy some pipes like that off you and where you put your kill switch cause I see you moved the start switch?
anthony crutsinger I'm not doing custom work for customers any longer sorry. There are a few shops that do custom exhaust for vlx600. Casa Customs, TJ Brutal Customs, and Houston Retro Bobbers. Also switches moved to the side neck covers.
@@TailEndCustoms i just built a vstar custom with the fat front tire i definitely need rid of the rear shock it dont like the bumps at all my ass literally flys out of the seat
@@TailEndCustoms are you still building these vstars ive been watching alot of your vids for ideas to build mine you definitely build some bad ass vstars
