Last year, I left my home town to head west without a place to live with. I had a tent and my dog and I left. About halfway through, in Nevada, this song came on, on a middle of nowhere radio station and I burst into tears. Thank you for bringing me clarity and peace. I showed up in Tahoe and not even three days into living in my tent, I was offered a place to stay until I got on my feet. People are good, and you, you are great. Much love.
Greetings from a 67 yr old fart over in South Africa - Beautiful song, both the lyrics and vocals, most nights after dinner I lay on my old couch on my verandah staring at the night sky and stars, watching the blue gums swaying in the breeze (yes we have blue gums here) put my headphones on and listen to music, and this is one of the songs on my playlist, I actually have a number of your songs on my playlist, one of my favorites is your version of Colored Stone's "Black Boy", such a hauntingly beautiful version of the song - many thanks for the hours of pleasure your music gives me, along with many other Australian artists
I'm from South Africa visiting my kids in Tassie. We had a barbeque with friends when they played me this song. Just love this. All the best for a great music career. I'll be looking out for your name.

Only just discovered this, a year or so later than everyone else! Came across it by accident. Was mesmerised by the whole track, the beautiful singing, the message and the video clip. Just loved it and have shared, hoping to get other people on board. Thank you Emily for a lovely song. You are beautiful!
What an absolutely enchanting voice. The fact that she's a local girl singing from her soul about her unique POV of growing up in Australia really hits home.

Love this song. Saw you play at Woodford with my lovely friend Guy and fell in love with your music. Is the lady in the film clip in pink Muslim? I work with refugee background young people and would love to introduce you to our youth leaders if you have time at some point this year.
