I havent cleared all endings, but i love how the whole plot is "looking for alice" but in the end they concoted a lobotomized hydra of alice but hey, we still found alice i guess
Truly one of the H-rpg ever. Wasted months of my life time trying to get all the ending but couldn't. The game lives rent free in my head for the longest time. I still think about it from time to time, maybe i'll pick it up again and finish it one day (with proper guide ofc). Such a twisted game that touches on the most depraved sides and emotions in people.
Took the words out of my mouth. It is wonderful and sad, twisted and grotesque in a pleasurable way. And how the characters love each other despite their tragically determined end is all beautiful. I wish there was a happy ending
In hindsight, there's kinda some foreshadowing in Ending E about the identities of the three Alice. The daughter feels disgusted by Grimm's darker side, because it's Bandersnatch whose soul still has "a shade of innocence" The sister goes clearly off script about just how much she actually hates that mess and swears like a sailor, because it's Jubjub who's getting tired of that role and wants it to end. The mother one has red text, which, if I remember correctly, is only used by the Outer Gods, like The Crawling One, Mabel, Mary Sue and Jabberwock. She also wants to keep Grimm to herself to completely blacken his soul.
Holy bajooli, that post-credit being purposefully dragged and a soundtrack specifically made to accompany all the way, makes my stomach churn more than anything else lmao. Despite all the inconceivable ping-pong of changing fate and pre-determined fate for two whole game, very sad (and most likely intentionally too) that the game's mainline (subjectively) important and (subjectively, again) happy ending ends on and because of a harrowing fate made on a whim. People wish for BS3, and though i kinda too, i wish not for another mad-jam packed insane adventure with loads of subtext, but just a possibly mundane but effective journey to fix this shattered vase of a man. I care no longer for his sin he had done, he has experienced hell tenfold and multiplied evermore by having his heart and love torn down and rebuilt and torn down again, so much so that it is impossible for him to not have learnt being a good person. Although that may not be a wish good enough to be granted, as it only satisfies this small niche of people who yearns for a happy ending (yes, i still do want a happy ending despite the absolute motherload of sorrow this game call "endings"), and the people would enjoy more depth-filled craziness of a Black Soul game.
in full honesty that's also kind of what i hope too. I would love for the central "theme" of BS3 to be Grimm's salvation, however unlikely it is, and for an ultimate happy ending at the end of what is by all definitions, in-game or from the perspective of the player, a long, harrowing journey.
Truly we all wish for a vinland saga season 2 for this man Would be an interesting story too though I doubt we'll have that since I think he still keeps the "tragic knight" stigma Mary sue gave him in the first game

Just so happened to have a black souls video recommended to me. That was two weeks ago, I have been met with horror, disgust, infatuation, but above all curiosity for this juxtaposition of a hidden gem.
Yes. Because of the power of the final boss, you always loop back to start when you get an ending (NG+). Except the H ending that you finally defeat the final boss and escape from the loop. This is the only ending sent you back to the title screen instead of give you a NG+.
I haven't played the game but fell all the way down into the Black Souls rabbit hole just reading the story and such and I was really confused assuming both ending G and H lead to the same post credit scene. That scene definitely made much more sense following right after ending H, and in some ways, the perspective that it happens regardless of the "good" or "hell" route gave a degree of value to the H ending- in the sense that RRH was going to die on-screen either ways and in the "hell" route you sacrificed yourself to save her, except in doing so you've been trapped in timeless void for so long that she reached 20 by the time you return to her. In comparison, that extra bit being at the end of the "good" route just felt like a weird kick in the the nuts, like you got your happy ending except no, time to watch her die despite doing everything right. I also felt confused that ending G seemed to be the canonical and happy ending yet ending H took way more work and seemingly has more heft to it (with the entire exchange between Grimm and Alice). The despair I felt upon realizing ending H is most likely the canonical one, even though RRH is my favorite of the bunch... :(
Ending H give complete conclusion and Ending H will make player not automatically enter the game which mean MC and RRH are manage to escape from loop. While Ending G still make player stay on game, fake happy end.
@@danguy6591 I have now. Can't believe it's only been 2 weeks and I beat both games with the relevant endings. Got about 50 hours in or so and plan on replaying cuz the combat is damn good (especially in BS2).
I actually found some sort of theme in the so called 'Outer ones' character (Mary Ann. The rabbit pricket etc etc) It is about a God pursuit of love. however, Each God did it differently. Nole and the crawling ones are practically 2 character's on the opposite side of spectrum. In nole, her love was genuine as it shown in the H ending and G. Meanwhile the crawling one was all about obsession and possessiveness. These are 2 Gods that learnt human emotions but treated them differently
@@4SeasonProducer I think Node also possessive to Grimm so she is not really opposite of Crawling Ones. She have a part of her that want Grimm stay with her forever in that world although she know that Grimm is suffer in that world. I think the opposite of Node the white rabbit is Pricket the red rabbit. Or Pricket is opposite of Crawling Ones while Node is middle between them.
Idk about doomguy, but I don't want Grimm to be as strong as Guts because Grimm is already stronger than him. He's an immortal "undead" that can canonically get infinitely stronger, while Guts is just a regular human with a lot of willpower and a big sword. It's just that Grimm's opponents are literal Lovecraftian Gods that seem to have more bullshit abilities compared to the Godhand. I really do wish he just kicks ass in BS3 and gets a happy ending though.

I'll try my best: 1) Create a new project with 'rpgmaker xv ace'. 2) Use an 'rpgmaker vx ace decrypter' on the game's RGSS file, click tools and extract all files. 3) Put the extracted files in the new project along with the game's system, graphics and audio folders. 4) Open the new project, click tools then database, then actors and modify what you want.
@@EvilArchive So I tried to decrypt it using "All decrypter" but I can't usse it on the game's RGSS file. At least I tried it on the one on the "System" folder, the one called "RGSS301.dll", and it says "Error Reading file, no RGSSAD HEADER!". Was I making a mistake? or are you using different decrypter?

People can make the arguments that Prickett, Node and Mabel were the only ones who properly understood/began to understand love due to their actions, but The Crawling One's words, "Once obtained, love loses nearly all of its value.", just goes to show that, despite not reaching the same understanding of love as Prickett, she was sane enough to understand what love boils down to in the end~♡ Dat's da besht game for ya~☆

Because it turns out that the three Alice characters were "played" by the three scourges of Wonderlands. Bandersnatch plays the daughter. Jubjub the sister. Jabberwock the mother. Except at the end Jubjub decided "f*ck it, time to stop this mess" and decided to stand up against the two others (that you can also see if you're careful) and decide to actually help Grimm escape.
"Alice" spends enough time with human Grimm and realizes the true meaning of love has nothing to do with... whatever the hell was happening there; so she lets him go.

A story with the amnesia protagonist who is created by the outer god from Cthulhu by mixing multiple fairy tales authors, is trapped in the world of cruel and twisted fairy tales which is also created by the outer god from Cthulhu.
Very not helpful tldr(Not including Red hood, because her storyline adds 3 layers and is largely disconnected anyhow): Evil Fairy created world and a dude who you can't fix and keeps them in a bad ending-loop, then fairy's mother(?) causes a brief disturbance (Involving fairy killing almost everyone in a random powerflex) that accidentially allows an eldridge horror to invade and kidnap you, also stealing Fairy's creator god powers. *End of BS 1* Said horror brainwashes dude with illusions to keep him in another timeloop, except this time we are in a world where dude's biological kids want to make more kids with dude(💀) and most people are lunatics. Dude ends up breaking out of this nightmare with the help of a madness bird and the few people genuinely on dude's side(In addition to fairy for some reason). In the process, dude has to destroy an artificial god that ended up inheriting fairy's creator god powers offscreen and for one reason or another, loses everyone forever...but at least he's finally free, so good ending achieved at last.

In the Black Souls universe, the power hierarchy seems to be a bit more...erratic than the H.P Lovecraft's works, but to answer your question, there are two types of God categories in the Black Souls universe, Great Ones/Great Old Ones and Outer Ones~☆ There are only a select few Great Ones like those from Mabel's speech after defeating the Old King, plus ones like the God of Sleep and The Lake Inhabiting God (both of whom got bonked by The Crawling One) that we know of thus far. Outer Ones, on the other hand, seem to make up the vast majority of Gods that we've seen thus far, from Baphomet and Mabel to the three family Alices in Black Souls 2~☆
To get ending B which is B [Birth] You need to raise all of the Heroine Covenants to lvl 3 or max. Exception with Bandersnatch, Jubjub and Jabberwork. It's recommended to kill or R-pe Jubjub because she can lock you from getting ending B. After raising the covenant lvl, go to the dream library, and choose all lovey-dovey options to Node and it will trigger ending B

the book closing sound is signature for picking up a fairytale, as when Red Hood dies she drops the fairytale she originated from. The green bastard-fly isn't the most powerful before and most certainly isn't now; she's been deprived of all power. She was *pretty* powerful before though, with the power of creation and whatnot.
