This is my first time experiencing HSR's music, after A friend of mine, @LuzireMusic , made his piano arrangement on this theme. I decided to listen to the original and decided to make my own arrangement as a fun challenge after hearing it!
I hit up Luzire and we discussed his arrangement for a while, including making a revision to his written score (there were notations that don't make perfect sense, since it was originally a midi file). I also asked him if I can make my own arrangement based on his, and he gave the Okay
This arrangement is almost completely different from Luzire, except for the tremolo at 00:47. aside from that, I have completely rewritten every section with fingerwork that lends itself better to the instrument (I think the term for this is "pianistic"). A lot of the figurations are inspired by classical music, like the 32nd tremolos at the opening section, and the soaring 16th triplet lines throughout the arrangement
The biggest difference compared to the original trailer is the opening and ending. I added some rolled chords over black swan's humming, and added a pause before the next section enters (Black Swan's name reveal in the trailer). I had no idea how to smoothly bridge this with only a piano, so this was the only option i had
The ending is also the same, I added a pause before the falling notes, and wrote a callback to the opening on the left hand
