You can really tell Alyssa is a dancer, the way she moved and presented herself was very different from the other girls because she was trained. Dance is her thing.

I think a lot about this every time black face comes up. You instantly knew who Ru was, even though only one of her girls is even close to having the same color of skin. off topic, but it is nice to have the example of how to pay respectful tribute to someone you admire, even if you don’t look like them.

I would love to go through the combination with her again because I want to see more turn out, no sickled feet, more lift in her jumps, more extension in her upper torso and head and Alyssa is actually dancing like a man. - As a ballet teacher I love this performance. This was the last episode Detox worked hard at. She carried Honey Through that segment to save her own ass.... after that, she just kinda of laughed and lipsynced her way through nearly all of season 5
