He’s been on tracks with some of the best lyrical legends...I’m talkin Big Pun, Mos Def, Pharaoh Monch, Royce da 5’9”, Roc Marciano, Raekwon, Benny the Butcher, Planet Asia, Styles P, Beanie Siegel, Eminem, Method Man, etc...they’re all elite emcees but no matter what he’s just about always a notch or two above on skill level...but I think Pun and Roc Marci may have gave him his best runs for his money!

On Super Predator with Big Pun, Pun was waaay ahead of Thought. In an interview Thought explained that in that song specifically he was going with an alternate juxtaposition style to Pun's purposefully. Pun also had two legendary verses in that song, Thought only had one. I think that was the only time I heard Thought straight out rapped but then again he wasn't sticking to his main style and was trying something different so its understandable. If Thought was going all out it would be a close call.

I've come to a point where I will not GIVE the crown of G.O.A.T to another. I will however equate some of my favorite rappers to heads of state, senators, house of representatives, supreme court justices if you will, etc. Rappers (like politicians) have to pass the torch at some point, yet you'll find some artists that transcend time and trends, fads and famines by staying relevant, reputable and still rock. I THEREFORE NOMINATE TARIQ TROTTER AS PRESIDENT OF HIP HOP IN THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA STARTING NOW!!!!!
