I did not go to Viet Nam, but I was receiving benefits for my eyes and other medical cost. But, I do not receive ANYTHING from this country today because they cut all of my benefits, that I had before. On certain days veterans get a 10% discount depending on the store, but we should get a 30% discount EVERY DAY and EVERYWHERE! Y'all think voting is going to change things for us...WAKE THE FK UP?
Blacks and Latinos account for a disproportionate bigger part of the US military, not because they love the country more than other races. It's because many of them are from economically underprivileged families and joining the military provides more opportunities and benefits than many other routes they face. To be honest, the US treats its veterans better than many other countries despite not being perfect.
The stamp situation is something I dealt with until my 💯 percent came through but I tell you there's way more benefits for men and women who enters the military...

I'm a USMC Veteran. I got out of the Marines in 1972. I volunteered for 2 years, 70- 72. I signed up at 17 in 1969. I'm 71 now and I too get 23 dollars in food stamps a month.
I saw months ago that a bunch of senior citizens were commenting on another post that they only get 15-23 $ on foodstamps . So it seems they're doing that to folks who have paid into SSN all their life and those who have kept them safe globally. This is why our soldiers leaving the military and the government are mad and try to threaten us that they will draft innocent children if they don't get their way. How sickening

Contact your congress man with details on how its not enough and you need help. Also VA locations have mobile food pantry you get 25 dollar for a lot of visits, it covers twice a month. You can go as often as needed as long as you don't exceed the 26 visits. They are there twice a week.

There are thousands of new Yorkers myself included had their snap cut to the exact same $23.00 per month. When we saw that receipt the Venezuelan woman left in the store with a balance of $13.500 & $4.400 cash we knew there is a serious problem in New york.
Also note there is another video that was aired yesterday with the state comptroller giving a press conference & he stated they will open an investigation into the way tge mayor's office is handling the funds given to him. I covered everything for a month until his funds kicked in. Since I had already been through the process, I helped him get his Disability rating immediately.
My brother gave 8 years of his life to this country and he is almost homeless because of it. They are not taken care of under no circumstances. I wish that he would not have gone to the Army

If I knew then what I know now, I would have never worked for the U.S. government. I would have been working on making connections outside of this country early on. The work I put in wasn't appreciated, and the whole environment is demonic. That's the military industrial complex.

He needs to go to the VA, get in the system and they will let him know what he qualifies for and his Disability Rating. He needs to dial 988 and press 1. They will make sure he has a place, a job and everything he needs. If he’s not, he needs to make his way to a large military town. My husband and I are both Disabled Veterans before he retired I made sure we were straight. I’m still finding out about Veteran programs to include ones at the courthouse.

I'm a Marine Corp vet who was taken out of work in 2015 by the VA. I received less than 15 dollars a month in food stamps at that time. I was told by the VA to apply for these benefits. What a waste of time ....

I was at capital hill in June 2024 talking to Congress members. I was advocating on veteran issue with my veteran group. I told them truth. This is my motto “don’t say what you owe, just pay what you owe”. I told all the members I spoke with that exact phrase. They don’t care about the vets or the people
I’m in the same boat as he is, (minus getting food stamps), that can’t get any percentage of compensation for disability, all because during 4 tours to Afghanistan it was never reported in my records that I had an intestinal problem due to the old MRE’s they issued. Though I have a track record of numerous doctor visits and surgeries to prove it since being out. But I know a lot of, (Particularly Black Men), whom have served, and or are still serving, having a hard time receiving disability.

Our public school system has (and continues) to not properly educate black children. I've spoken with teachers from multiple states who have stated that the public school system is more focused on social indoctrination rather than teaching our children mathematics, science, reading and writing. The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields are where the high paying jobs are. We need MORE black Engineers, Computer Scientists, Doctors and Mathematicians, but unfortunately the public school system and Dept. of Education does all it can to impede that. "People don’t realize that the Department of Education gives each state 11 cents out of every school dollar that every state spends. But it comes with 15 cents worth of strings attached."
STEM is more indoctrination brother. Once they get that to the point they want it, it will be automated and people will lose their jobs. It happens in every industry. People are losing their high paying jobs in STEM right now. Technology just gives them more control to cut you off from life. If everything you own is somehow connected through technology, they can have control over it. If all that you buy is through technology, they can keep you from buying it. It's not to benefit the regular person. If you don't follow their rules, they will deny you access. That's the whole point of the system for them.
Why are parents not working with their kids at home? When my oldest daughter was in 6th grade she was chosen for the spelling bee. She was the only 6th grader left with 3 8th graders. She didn't win but everyone was impressed. Both our girls are AP my oldest tested for gifted. Their favorite subject is math. My oldest was volunteering at Kumon tutoring Indian kids in junior high. She is now a freshman in high school. She is the only freshman in her math class. You have to work with your kids!

Since you asked, however, that's neither here, nor, there we have Veterans who fought wars for this country who are homeless and immigrants get their tax dollars.
