i hate how people think only emo or goth people listen to screamo or hard rock and heavy metal. But look at me, not emo, not goth, listen to it anyway. You don't have to be emo or formerly emo, you can listen to it either way
Jess and I met every PE and after school at our high school for a year. We quickly became good friends, despite the fact that she was a Black Veil Brides loving Satanist and I was a Jewel loving Christian. It was really difficult not to like her. She might have always worn black and dyed her hair strange colors, she was really, really kind and awesome. Unfortunately, lots of people didn't like her. Some people insulted her because of how she looked, how she didn't conform to most girls' personalities, or her sexual orientation. And sometimes she would tell me about the horrible stuff they said, and I would be the one to comfort her. She was so strong. She was the strongest person I knew. She kept on going and going and going, even when it hurt her. Fortunately, most often we had lots of other things to talk about. We would talk about books, philosophy, what it means to be a good person, and music. Definitely music. Sometimes, she'd talk about rock and roll and about Black Veil Brides, her favorite band. I once asked her what her favorite song was, and she said that it was this one. Unfortunately, I soon left the high school and went to college while she remained in high school (she was a year younger than me), and so we drifted apart. It was only a few hours ago that I learned that she died in an automobile accident. So now I'm just sitting here, replaying this song over and over and over and over, thinking to myself, "I know who it is. It's me." So, here it is: Jess won't rest in peace. Instead, she is going to use her time with her mystical phantom body to kick zombie ass. And she's not going to get angel wings. Hell no. She's going to get demon wings. They're WAY cooler. But, yeah, she'll still get a halo and a white robe. She'll have horns, too, but they're just there to keep the halo up. And, yeah, she'll talk to God and she'll walk with Jesus. You know why? Because she was a great person. She was honest, kind, and loving. She didn't steal, murder, or disrespect her parents. But, also, I think that all she ever wanted in this world was love. Many of the so-called "Christians", and even many more of the so-called "tolerant" atheists bullied her incessantly and gave her no love. Instead, I would like to think that Jesus will be merciful to her, a sinner like the rest of us, and show her the love that she had been craving for so long. I'll also say this: she died in Pleasant Valley, near Priest Run Road. I think that's a good sign. :) Rock on and rock out, Jess. Rock on and rock out.
She deserves heaven. I hope she has her own black veil brides memorial hall all to herself, because she deserves it. And one day, when you also (hopefully peacefully) die, you go on up to heaven with her.
I don't get why some people hate BVB. They are the best band in my opinion. BVB haters don't know what they're missing! Edit (12/31/2019)- Been nearly 5 years since I wrote that comment, time flies doesn’t it? I’m not really a fan of Black Veil Brides anymore, I mostly listen to them nowadays for the sake of nostalgia.
Seth_Nile Here are some other BVB songs: "Heart of Fire" "Goodbye Agony" "Rebel Love Song" "Children Surrender" "New Religion" "The Legacy" "Knives & Pens" "Perfect Weapon" "Sweet Blasphemy" "Coffin" "Lost it All" "Savior" "The Gunsling" -Hope you enjoy them!
I would like this at my funeral too I don't like sad depressing music I really don't people crying at my funeral so this song fits good people can be jamming instead of crying :)))))
good lord whoever else is emo or was emo needs to listen to this song i dont think ANYBODY expected a voice like that to come out of him and the guitaring is 10/10

WhiteDamage ? Okayyyy. Well I literally couldn't care less, so no need for the barely intelligible long winded, pointless comment. Oh my god, you disagree with me, it's the end of the mighty fucking world!!! I don't care if you dislike my comment, so don't be annoying about it.
Emma Avant Hey I didn't say he had the song that is literally the gate into the emo world, that's obviously The Black Parade, I just said he was overall the God~
I didn't think this band would be my type of music, but I underestimated this band and this song. I actually like this song, and I don't care what my best friends think!
Aye! I am the same way my friend! My friends scold me for listening to this, except for that one special one, who I consider to be more than a friend ;)
I'm a loser fan that only knows two songs (The other one is Knives And Pens) whoops but I really like them this is a really good band... and at least I can name members that aren't Andy
Your not a loser dude. This was the first one I listened to. So yeah listen to other songs. I recommend the legacy, stitch these wounds, sweet blasphemy an fallen angels. Another good me is you and me at six
Desireehjhhdysheyey Meadows they're so good, right? I saw them play live I believe in 2009? When they went on tour with Modern Day Escape, Get Scared, and Vampires Everywhere!. They put on a good show. And I wish I would've gone up to them and got them to sign something. But the line was too long. And at that time I didn't know who they were? But checked them out after the show since I liked them. And out of ALL the songs I've heard from them. This is definitely my FAVORITE one, EVER!!! 😍😍😍😍😍.
I just got introduced to this band and I wanna listen to this song over and over again but I also wanna listen to more of their music. DE STRUGGLE IS REAL.
Thao Luc aw thanks guys. :D I love Corpse Party, Fairy Tail, and everything in between! I NEED TO WATCH A PLAYTHROUGH OF BLOOD DRIVE, ALL FOR SAVING SEIKO SAY "AYE!!" :D
Literally I was singing along and I started thinking of when Andy fell off stage when he broke his ribs, all of a sudden I said " and with flesh and butt I commanded an army" hahaha idek
They are an amazing band. In fact, I saw them live in concert on February 11th of this month. They played this song and a bunch of others. It was a huge honor to be in the same room as them. Their music inspires children all over the world to get up and take a stand in what they believe in. They are helping me get over my depression. My friend Leah showed me this band and I am thankful that she did. The concert was a great experience. I was glad to go. Now a days, children listen to songs about drugs, alcohol, and inappropriate things like that. Well, I can defiantly say that I am a part of the Black Veil Brides army. And, Ladies, there are more members in the band than Andy. Without the band, There would be no band. There would just be Andy. Therefore, we have to respect ALL of the members. There's Andy, Ashley, CC, Jake, And Jinx. They all have a special part of the band. So, they all need to be recognized. They are all important. They make good music, So inspiring. Including this song. In The End shows me that I am okay, Everything is going to be okay. Being in the same room as them is like heaven. They are literally the fallen angels. They make my heart melt inside. I thank them for making music. Thank you BVB, For everything. Keep making music.
I have like three friends who listen to BvB and my other favorite bands...I get bullied for it to...They all say I'm just begging for attention...but I'm not...this music just speaks to me in ways all of those pop and rap wannabes can't see...and they all judge you before they get to know you. ;-; If people paid attention they would see...
In The End, Set The World On Fire, We Don't Belong, and Love Isn't Always Fair are my absolute favorites. I could replay them over and over and never grow old of them.
NOTE: FIRST TIME EVER LISTENING TO THE SONG. I've expected the lead singer to sound very feminine and have soaring vocals, like the singers from OM&M or Falling In Reverse. His voice is excellent, lol. Like holy shit.
one time I wore a bvb shirt to a family event...... WORST IDEA EVER, they asked what my shirt said, so I told them, they decided to play a song of theirs, they all looked at me like 0_0
Pastel Panromantic Dragon That happened to me with a My Chemical Romance shirt. I wore it and someone in class didn’t know what they were. Needless to say, they clicked on I’m Not Okay, and that person just glared at me like “what the fuck is this?”
When i first heard of BVB i thought they looked like gay weirdos and were just another stupid rock band but after my friend on instagram told me to look them up on you tube i fell in love and now I'm part of thr BVB army and i realized that i shouldn't have judged them they are awesome
I love black veil brides so much. I love the lead singer, he has such an amazing voice and also he has a really big heart. The music is beautiful in my eyes.
Omg this is the best. I never listened to them cuz i always heard of them compared to botdf. Which is shit. But god this is everything i want in life. Yes. Time to buy all the things.
Been listening to this since I was 6 because of my big brother. Still not tired of it, still some check up on it for the nostalgia so I don't accidentally tire it out again. Btw I'm 15 now
