Thunder Storms broke the Blackberry fence and needs replaced. I also share how my Grandparents traded Timber to pay for this Land. Select cutting timber has great value and helps increase growth of new tress allowing more sunlight to the canopy floor. I enjoy your channel and your other one as well. I am not able to do what you have accomplished for several reasons. However, watching you work on your homestead is interesting. I also enjoy watching you take a downed/sick tree and turn it into a great product that you use to create your buildings etc. Love to watch you at work. Keep it up.

If your like me you'd rather have the wild blackberries so much better but almost impossible to find nowadays. I grow the thornless also but , not nearly as good. Jennifer is so loyal to you, love it!

Richard the best fence ports are the parasite eastern Red Cedar trees, as they are rot resistant and last for decades.

I have some that are in the ground currently. Our tower is built out of Cedar. We did put some cedar in the ground one time and left the bark on it and it didn’t last too long. I find everything seems to do better once the bark is peeled.

Richard my cousin’s husband in Macon county once told me you can clear cut every 20 years and pay the property tax for 30 years. They clear cut his timber patch and 5 years later it does not looked like it was ever clear cut, trees in Tennessee grow like weeds as my great uncle George Deckard would say in Macon county.
