Man that was a good Spirit in the Sky.. Just before the other song started I thought it was gonna do the bass line of the beginning.. Dun, Nu, Na ...But Na.. Still was cool though..
They didn’t start with Spirit in the Sky…they mixed it into their other song. Ain’t Much Left of Me is often the last show of the night, and they always mix in a verse or two of a cover. I heard them do anything from When the Levee Breaks to 3 Little Birds here. I wasn’t recording from the beginning…I just started recording to see what they were going to cover. Caught it just right I guess.
You know I love the song and have seen it live lots of times, but never saw Charlie, Benji, and Paul jam at the end, truly a cool BBS moment. At about 3:40. Love this Band!
wow, bass player playing thru on each side of the stage. 2 sets of those OLD Acoustic Bass amps. Most likely from the70's, I have not seen a band use those in YEARS. They and the old SVT ampeg were the BASS rigs of the 70's. Ampeg is still very much around, and Acoustic only makes much smaller Amps. these days, but used to supply those Big Rigs Back When.
I have been a huge fan for over 12 years now and have seen them several times. If you look at my other videos, I have them doing Good One Comin On, Let It Burn, All Over the Road, Rock n Roll Again, Hey Delilah, You Hear Georgia, Ain’t Got the Blues, and Flesh and Bone. Also for covers have a full version of Ain’t Much Left into 3 Little Birds, Can’t You See with Gov’t Mule, Fairies Wear Boots, and Take You Higher with Tedeschi Trucks Band (which has a fantastic guitar trade-off with Derek, Charlie, Susan, and Paul in the middle). None of these have more than 2.4k views. For some reason this is the one that is getting watched, and I think it is because I didn’t record the whole thing. Go figure. 🤷🏻 Not that I care about the views…I just post them because I like the band.
