sweet sound !!!!!and very good play . All the effects ( seems to hear some reverb and delays and octava on 5th and 6th strings may be) are from the SY-1000 ?
Thank you! Yes, all of the sound is coming from the SY-1000, combined with a Boss RC-500 looper, and you are exactly right that this consists of octaves on the 5th/6th strings and some added reverb.
Beautiful Martin-Taylor-esque inflections in the harmony. Learning (a simplified version of) this just went on my To Do List. Speaking of which... is there a tab??
Thank you, any remote comparison to Martin Taylor is a huge compliment! I don't have a tab for it unfortunately--I would suggest starting with the guitar part, and then adding the melody really does fall under the fingers quite well!
I think if Chet Atkins was still alive you would be getting a call from him asking to jam together. I like playing Blackbird with Bourree to show people where Paul got his inspiration for Blackbird.
Thank you! It's a really interesting feature of great pieces of music like this how the vertical (harmonic) and horizontal (melodic) aspects of the music are so integrated--just humbling to try to learn from them!
Alan, this sounds so beautiful! I especially like the structure of your arrangement. The sections are well-connected, yet distinct, making the music interesting from start to finish.
