Summer break is literally just around the corner, which means more time to play more lengthy and heavier board games with Alicia. I wanna learn Obsession too! But, Life of the Amazonia blew me away at Dice Tower West. We gotta play it together one day. Love that you got those trees from the train shop, I use a random little hummingbird figurine for my first player marker in Wingspan.

Since Janell and I are both teachers, we always try to play extra games in the summer. This summer we have 4 weeks of research at UCSB then we're moving from CA to WA, but we still hope to play several big games that we haven't had the chance to recently or at all. I got her the 3D version of Terraforming Mars since it's one of her favorite games, and she really wants to try On Mars too! We also like to play campaign games in the summer, and we have the expansion to Roll Player Adventures that we need to try. Those are the 3 I hope we can play this summer👍

There's nothing wrong with wanting to bling up your games, Dwayne! Those trees are nice. Oh, none of the boxes were upside down. As for me, I'm trying to get my copy of Everdell with all the expansions. Have a great summer, guys!

I just got Barcelona to the table. I play a lot of solo games so I played against Gaudi. It took me a long time to play looking back and forth at the rule books but I still liked it, the art is beautiful. I like Viticulture but haven’t tried any expansions yet. And I just picked up LROA, I live a good campaign so I may need to grab Missing Expeditions. :)

I love the idea of making a wish list of summer games! I'm a teacher too, and I want to get to my copy of Wingspan, which I impulse bought off Amazon during a sale. I also just got Isle of Cats, excited about that one (wait a minute, birds and cats???? 😂). I also just found a board game group that meets every other Monday, super excited about hanging out with them and learning new games. Thanks for your great game descriptions, and looking forward to seeing how you both enjoy those games.

Obsession was on our top 10 Shelf of Shame list! I won't spoil where! It's gonna get played eventually! Barcelona has a beautiful cover! We were also thinking of going through the Arnak campaign this summer. Viticulture is a classic. Missy prefers through cooperative version, but the rest of us prefer competitive. Scholars is one I've been looking REALLY HARD at buying! Good luck to both of us having a good game filled summer!!

I'm looking at Wayfarers Of The South Tigris on my shelf. Maybe it's time to do this thing, and learn to play it. Then, I will try to play Scholars, if possible.
