As a white canadian living in Calgary, I would like to learn the Blackfoot language and learn their culture. I think it's important to keep the language and their way of life thriving for the sake of our future. We are all brothers and sisters living on the same land, and now is the time for healing, recognition, education, and respect. I wish all the best to my Blackfoot brothers and sisters.

No. Learn cave-dwelling life so you can stop it from happening again. Tired of y'all using is and stealing our identity and lands

My grandmother is Blackfoot but have no clue what tribe. She passed away when I was 2 and mother never asked. But I’ve been wanting to do ancestry test on this.

The utensil labeled 'whisk' on one illustration looks like a ladle. Interesting. Appreciate this video.

Chief "Crawford"! It's Crowfoot. Also failed to identify Red Crow.

The "European" leadership model of hierarchical and dynastic rule was independently developed all over the world.

Yes, the political references seem somewhat naive at best. Unfortunately the assumptions and history of the two civilizations are night and days apart, which lead to misunderstandings and tragedy.

I’m a writer. I can’t imagine writing something that is so very important to this world and someone not being able to read my handwriting maybe do the video over and talk a little slower for people so this beautiful information gets out thank you.

Actually, Custer was sent to take the rich lands of the Blackfeet, but he disobeyed orders and felt he could first raze their defenseless village as they would all be busy at the close by Battle of Little Bighorn with the Sioux they had allied with. Our braves and many from other tribes stayed behind waiting in the Tipi's and popped out in a brilliant surprise attack.Surrounded, out numbered if not out gunned, 2 to 1,he gambled and lost .This separate mini-battle ended with the blonde in question being separated from his hair personally by Blackfeet Chief Crowfoot, a fact too oft ignored by "goody goody" historians. He lost his Generals rank posthumously as his superiors were none too happy.Yes he negotiated treaty 7 allowing the train to cut through the traditional and current Blackfeet lands we demanded. But his real bargaining power was this huge military win for us. The U.S. government is just too proud to admit it.We earned our lands the hard way.The Sioux did not really do all that bad, at least they stayed near their traditional homeland as opposed to being herded to Oklahoma like cows. Now they are even getting their Black Hills back. Good fighting has it's rewards.
