Usually when someone at the table passes chips to assist with the double, if the hand wins the person gets back their money plus the win…..that was nice that you let him keep the winning despite it not being his money. Very cool

8:22 - Double soft 19 vs 6 played by the book correctly! Problem is WRONG TABLE to do it!!! You ONLY DOUBLE SOFT 19 when dealer HITS soft 17! EXACTLY the reason why you should NOT double soft 19 on a stand 17 table since there was a chance he could have lost when the dealer shows soft 17 and he did not make ANY hand! If it did NOT then had it been HIT 17, that double down would have worked because, the next card was indeed a SEVEN getting a hard 14 and then the 10 comes for the bust!!! So that was ALMOST the 1 or 2 hands where it is more profitable to STAND soft 19 vs to DOUBLE on a stand 17 game! Since according to the stats out of 100 hands, you will LOSE about 2 BETS in the long run if you double instead of standing on a stand 17 game! LUCKY IT WORKED OUT!!!

wish you luck playing hunches instead of math. ask any reputable pit boss or dealer. hit the 2 against a dealer 2 or 3. sorry it feels uncomfortable or whatever. don't believe a mathematician like me...ask a pit boss anywhere. and good luck whatever you decide!!!!

No. If u not double your soft 7, u will hit soft 18 n get a 2. The next guy will hit a 6 n made 14 n will not hit again. Cards will flow the same. No changes except he can’t double

So nothing changed he had soft 18 if he doubled he’d get a 4 making it 12 he’d stay and in the other 7 hrs pull the 10 and obviously stay. So the dealer would of pulled the same amount of card n made 21 only difference your friend wouldn’t have pushed since he would have made 17 in one n 12 in the other .

Ryan is a casinos dream with his way of thinking. The only thing to be consistent with is basic strategy. The reason I'm sure he doesn't hit is because he doesn't want to bust. Math doesn't lie and I hope he'll at least learn basic strategy for s17 games.
