Nice shave John! Can't go wrong with a Stirling shave! They are one of my favorite artisans in the traditional shaving world 😎👍 About the phone going light and dark while you were looking at it: you might have "adaptive brightness" on which automatically makes the screen lighter or darker depending on how bright the room you are in is. So if a cloud passes by making the room dark, it'll make the phone screen dark until it becomes bright again, then it'll make the screen brighter. If you turn it off it'll stay at whatever % you set the brightness. SOTD: Mastro Miche Revisited Rive Gauche shave stick (unfortunately doesn't smell like CAD or American Blend), PAA Phantom Aerolite brush, 1959 Fatboy with a Rainbow blade, Gillette Series Cool Wave splash, and if needed Stirling balm. I feel that bowl lathering can offer you a great compromise. You get to add lather to your face right away, but you can also further build that lather by working it with the brush directly on your face.

Hi John good evening no need for you to apologise not at all a superb shave with some fantastic products on show the Razor looks an absolute belter and Stirling Leather also seems to be brilliant also can never seem to get my hands on that.SOTD yesterday for me was Clubguy from PAA the razor was the Yaqi Ghost Titanium with a Wilkinson sword blade 3rd use brush was the Yaqi red marble synthetic then the post was witch Hazel and the splash was clubman pinaud. No slurp of the day John had a few cans of Kopperberg cider last nite well bit more than a few feeling the effects today 🤣😎 enjoy your jam shed and your evening as always and take care and enjoy the rest of your wknd all the best 👍🏻👌🙂

You could change the brewing method if you are patient enough. Use smaller increments of HOT water for the pour-over. Be aware that the brew time will depend on the chosen coffee and on the grounds' particle size.

Great shave John! It looks like adjustable razors suit you well. I was looking at Blackland's site a few times here and there, and took a lot of restraint not to buy an osprey during the sale! John, I was surprised that you shaved from high to low with that adjustable. Nevertheless, you did okay. Also, did I understand you to say that the scent of Stirling British Leather is a clone of traditional English Leather by Dana? Regarding the light issue, I really didn't notice much change when you had to reset your phone. Perhaps it was more noticeable from the phone screen than from the recorded video? BTW, I'm a purist when it comes to coffee. Black and strong with NO sugar or cream. Have a good one!

Great video John. Happy Saturday which i have off! Here is a bit if coffee trivia. The light roasts or medium roasted coffee have more caffeine then dark roast. The more beans are roasted to bring out the dark toasted flavour, the more caffeine is roasted out. So im the morning like today, i had a nice cup of Tim Horton hazelnut med. Roast. Tonight after dinner, a dark roast. Enough waffleing on about coffee, great shave. Very spot on. My own sotd as its a stormy wknd here, is chisiled face summer storm soap and splash. With the parker 96r and a voskod blade. Haveva fantastic wknd 👍🍷
