@@oldrango883 Sure… that’s why all proper cameras have that function. I totally disagree with you. If you want to vlog outside on a run and gun situation, you need auto IOS to be sure that you don’t overexpose…
Hello 👋 I have a problem with the internal storage. My iPhone is 256GB and I have 190GB available space. But I can only record 8GB. How can I fix this?
Was so glad they added the 48mm 2x lens. Haven’t seen anyone else really talk about it until this video. Is quality affected at all due to it being cropped?
I wish it had a button to turn on/off the built-in flashlight. It may not be a good light source, but, in time of need, any light helps! Maybe in the next update.
I would say make sure you do a hard restart of your phone and/or reinstall the app. But if you reinstall the app save any footage because it will delete it. Otherwise, I’ve not had any problem with it so far on a 15 Pro Max.
Regarding audio monitoring: Instead of the Rode adapter a cheap TRRS to mic/headphone jack splitter does the trick. So the setup would look like phone-usb c or lightning to trrs adapter-y splitter to mic/headphone jacks-mic and headphone connected to the corresponding connector. That adapter is under 10 Euro in Germany.
Blackmagic also added the ability for name, scene, reel, and take metadata to be displayed over HDMI during recording, reduced latency over HDMI video feeds, smoother animations when switching between landscape and portrait in any orientation, and faster project listing in the media tab as well in the Blackmagic Camera app update.
There are 2 things that I am waiting for (1) As it is on Filmic Pro ONE SENSOR/CURSOR/PUNTER for focus an another as PHOTOMETER ... (2) A better WAY of taking the FILES out of the iphone to TRANSFER to the computer !!!!!
I just testet the audio monitoring feature. After connecting the external mic I had to choose the audio output again, as I was set to the external mic. After choosing my AirPods again, it works.
Hey Blake! Thx you for sharing. After updating to the camera app 1,3 i´m having some latency issues shooting with extreme/cinematic stabilization, did you notice? This didn´t happen with previous versions of the app... :(
@@GabrielgsGabriel thx for answering, i hope it get some patch or quick fix... What phone do you have? In my case, i'm experimenting the latency on a iPhone 15 Pro, and i can't find no answer to how to solve it... I'm wondering if it is possible to sideload a previous version of the app... 😢
Oooos, great looking video :) But A small correction relating to the Audio Monitoring: You *can* monitor while using an external mic plugged in with a bluetooth headset - I made a video about it when the new update came out - I use the Røde VideoMic Go To, plugged in via USB C, and before this update I couldn’t monitor or okay back my recorded videos without unplugging the mic, now I just select my bluetooth headset as the monitoring audio out and I can monitor realtime as well as look at my recordings without unplugging the mic - so it might be because you are using an adapter to a mini-jack-mic it doesn’t work.
@@ronyeadon Yeah, audio delays are inevitable unfortunately with bluetooth audio, but at least it works for checking levels before recording and checking back on recorded footage with audio without having to unplug the mic :)
Yeah that’s why I said my setup as I figured some configurations would work as they do in other apps. But unfortunately most mics are analog and so if it doesn’t work with the USB-C adapter that’s not good. I’ve only had the update for a few days though and still testing different setups. But again, the Rode AI Micro is really the best solution for most stuff. Thanks for watching!
@@iphoneographers Yeah :) just wanted to chime in with the info for anyone out there using usb-c mic’s like the videoMic Go To which is a good budget option, and the usb connected mic’s are on the rise :) For me the main problem has been having to unplug my mic to listen to my recorded clips, then having to replug the mic and double check settings to make sure it’s active, and the videomic go to has minijack for monitoring built into the mic, but having a headset constantly connected to the mic is a no-go, so the bluetooth headset now being supported as monitor out from the app makes my life a lot easier, the AI for me would just introduse yet another thing in the chain of things hanging off of my phone, since now I only have the mic connected with usb-c and handsfree monitoring through my headset so no other adapters or cables necessary, especially nice when moving around with the setup :)
