Unless I'm missing a new announcement, the Sigma 18-35 is APS-C, not FF :)

I recently bought a Samyang 85 T 1.5 and was thinking of completely switching to Samyang to sell my Sigma 18-35 F1.8 and Sigma 70-200 F 2.8 now watched your video and put Samyang back up for sale. Sigma stays with me

Hi there! Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment. Definitely Sigma is much better. I had 3 Samyang and in the end I sold them all. Sigma lenses will stand somehow in the middle between, RF Canon lenses (very sharp) and vintage lenses. There are much better lenses than Sigma, but they are good enough for many projects. Cheers

I know it’s way more expensive, but Sigma makes the 18-35 in a cinema housing with manual aperture. And for the long end I would go with the Irix 150 macro. Both are on the clinical sharp low character side.

Great video, have you tried looking into the sigma 50-100mm f1.8 ? It’s a great combo to go with the 18-35. I deffo understand what you mean about the other Lens, it’s also very soft and doesn’t cut well with the sigma 18-35 . In my opinion.

It’s all about budget my friend cause I didn’t want to spend more than what I got from selling my other lenses, but I will definitely look into thank you so much, brother 🙏

Hi Ruben, Very unconventional choice for the telephoto lense. I do get how it feels when we experiment with new lenses whose reviews are also very few out there in market and then it somehow doesn't work the way you would have loved to. But I am sure you are going to find a way to work around it until you land on the right one. At the end it's the eye behind the camera that matters the most. For that this Sigma Telephoto Macro lense is surely in safe hands. 😀 Happy Filming 👍

Very interesting vid! Exploring my options w/ the Sigma lenses on my as well. 18-35 is a clear beast. Any reason why you didn't go with the sigma 70-200mm tele? Cheers from Belgium

I have been filming weddings, funerals, interviews, events with the Samyang 24mm. I have a video where I compare it to a Canon photo lens. Very happy with it. Just need a longer knee to film events on a stage

I barely use my 18-35 since I switched to vintage zeiss/leica r sets. Sure it has low breathing copared to vintage glass but also many cons most ppl dont mention: -too contrasty but low saturation which make it looks videoish -flat image compared to the cooke/zeiss microcontast aka 3d pop -not parfocal compared to sigma 24-70 or 28-70 therefore not great for doc -ugly flare It's a bargain lens for a clean look, but lack of character.
