God I wish he was still producing. I've never had an artist touch my soul as much as he is able to. His music washes over me like a wave of calm and centers my emotion in a serene place for as long as I am listening.
@@sandycun109 I suppose we should just be thankful he decided to share his talent with us as much as he has. I think Home is my favorite but he's one of the few artists I will just shuffle and never skip a song.

almost ten years ago a stoner girl i was friends with introduced me to Blackmills music with this song. i loved it immediately. feeling nostalgic here smoking alone now, she has since moved 3000 miles away and is married with a kid. oh well. i will always treasure the time we spent together and how Blackmill speaks to my soul.
I sit here at my desk, scrolling through RU-vid music videos. I come across a song, titled, "Rain" by Blackmill. I hadn't listened to his songs much before, so I decide to play the video. Little did I know, that later, I would find myself sitting motionless just 3 minutes later, thinking about my past, nearly in tears, mesmerized by a calming song. Needless to say, I now have a new favorite song, and a great emotional moment I hope to never forget. Well done.
Same here. Found it after I started driving. I built a really nice and expensive sound system in my old car and would go cruising the highways with my friends late at night. We would drive around with a hookah in the car too lmao. I was 17-20 when I did this and now im 25 almost 26. Now my epilepsy has screwed me and I haven’t even driven in almost a year.
Dear Blackmill, 4 years ago, when I first found this, I listened to it day after day, night after night. I grew to loving it forever. But one day, I ended up letting go from it. I felt as if I continued spamming my ears with it, it will no longer be as good as it was. Now, 4 years later, I was dumped by my girlfriend for another. I don't want to go into detail, but it was for another guy which made me feel worst. It began raining outside and I sat on my porch. I watched the raindrops fall as I was listening to Chillstep. It hit me that I long forgot a beautiful song. I started listening to it, and people that reply please don't call me a wimp, but I began crying because of the memories it gave back, and just the pure beauty in this. Blackmill, whoever you are, thank you for everything you have done. I might not always remember this song, but I will. In other words, although I might of forgot it at one point, my brain will always know this song if that makes sense. I love you Blackmill. I hope you are reading this. Have a great day. -Kevin
Rainfall is an amazing thing and good things come of it. With out rain the world wouldn't be how it is same with crying, that isn't wimpy at all. That is manly for only a true man wouldn't conceal their feelings and would cry when they feel the urge.

There is so much to discover in this track. Every time I listen to it I find something new. You must have spent so many hours working on the fine details, way past the point where most artists would have thought of it as being complete. I'm going through some old photos on my computer and just found a screenshot of this playing on my phone through Pandora from March 2013!! I just looked this up and oh my god, it's so amazing!! I like to think I saved that screenshot for a reason, almost making it act like a time capsule so that I could find this incredible piece of music again. This music just works. It's not necessarily ambient, but it's living on that fine line between ambient and calming electronica. It makes me think. I can see the sunset from my window right now. This music just makes my mind wander and want to think about something else out there in the sky, in the world, in the universe. Music, especially music like this, does something to ones brain and mind. It taps it in a special way. It's saying let me in and I'll let you see the world in a way that you couldn't before. This is such a powerfull tune, when it comes to feelings. Everytime I'm down af i put it on and feel insta a bit better. It's like the sound is telling me "don't worry. i see your pain, i can see what you're going through and it's a mess. but i also see hope for better days. you can feel sad, you can be all down. but then you gotta keep on fighting again." I think this music expresses the emptiness of our lives so well. We are afraid of things that do not give us any room for interpretation. I think we were able to relieve our fear by embodying our depressing and painful feelings. We've been with this music and the past. It will continue to be the case.

Nostalgia is my favorite emotion. but unlike happiness or sadness it can be worn out. Do not overuse things(eg a song or piece of music) that create this emotion, or its meaning will be lost. this happened to me with the song Bitter Sweet Symphony by the verve this song meant 'my life in a nutshell' to me but now it means nothing

Curtis Jackson could just be that you really love the music. Sometimes I end up just lying down smiling thinking about how much I like the music. A lot of rock or metal can put me in a really good mood and no volume feels loud enough. Music like this tends to speak to me differently and puts me in a more distant mood. I often get stuck in my head thinking about pointless stuff with blackmill's music so these days I listen a bit more casually and just enjoy, or else it can be quite time consuming. So yeah music can often bring up meaningful emotions and get your memories attached to it but sometimes you just love the sound wether you've heard it before of not if you like the music you like the music doesnt have to be complicated.=)
