Shmo, Josh, and Noah react to BLACKPINK's "Ddu-du Ddu-du" music video. Social Media, Apple Podcasts, Spotify: linktr.ee/mill... Music by Rylan: / rylanladion
The moment you didn't laugh at *JISOO's* scene you guys already got me, a lot of people especially americans don't get the scene and I'm so glad you guys get it!!
Finally someone noticed how cool the scene of Jisoo (pink hair) was, many people didn't notice how cool this scene was, and the meaning behind it. You guys are very good at this.❤❤
To clarify Jisoo's "Pink Wig" scene: Jisoo is the VISUAL in the group. The VISUAL position is assigned to the member who most closely adheres to Classic Korean Beauty Standards, this can mean facial structure, no extreme hairstyles or makeup, etc. Basically it means that she is most attractive to the Korean eye. There is a mural of her "perfect image" on the wall that people are photographing, even though she is standing among them, showing her "true self", much different from what they perceive. When she "trips", or makes a mistake, it catches the eye of the press and fans and they turn on her, putting on masks to be anonymous and "shooting" her with their phones in order to hurt her career. It's a statement on how media can ruin a celebrity for showing that they are real people too.
@@jichuturtlerabbitkimsaysya5223 yeah when they laugh at her like she made a mistake lmao if it was a mistake why would they keep it in the video. they just go "haha she fell!" and don't notice anything else.
@@StephanieMRM Yeah they really don't see that he scene is talking about our bitter reality. Idols lose their true self trying to please their fans and they lose their fans trying to find their true self. That's the sad truth of hat scene and I absolutely hate it when the reactors laugh at that scene.
I feel like you guys are going to react to all their MV’d before watching their Coachella performance (which makes sense LOL) So we’ll be patiently waiting!!
_i love the fact that they talked about the jisoo's pink wig scene i've seen many reactors laugh at that or don't care about it but y'all are different. u guys truly deserve more subscribers u guys are so good at reacting_
TMI: Blackpink was not yet 2 years old in the industry when they dropped this so basically they were still considered rookies at that time and this was their comeback after 1 year of hiatus. Also, this MV just recently became the 2nd Most Viewed Kpop MV of all time. Blackpink is THAT group.
Yeah one of the better new reactors I've seen. Not too too over the top jumping out the seat screaming acting extra for no reason. Gives good reasons as why they like things. They pick up on certain small things other people miss. They actually pay attention and read the lyrics. Its got like a Form of Therapy vibe and I like Form of Therapy.
You are one of the only few reactors who didn't laugh on Jisoo's part where she tripped. That scene is so precious and meaningful. That is what happening to many idols and artists and the way they incorporated it in the M/V is superb for me. It has a great message for everyone. One mistake, then the media and people will ruin your career with their cameras and articles. This is really hard for the artists. Some even committed suicide because of the pressure and bullying. So this M/V is not just aesthetics, there is a very important message in it.
is a gun shot but the album an the debut songs have better sense and far best songs... this song is just released in the correct moment of the group but is not the "boom".. And about views.. with the time the other songs will destroy the quanty of ddu ddu
I was actually waiting for this to see if you guys will notice that particular scene when Jisoo tripped and fell. Not anyone had noticed and get the message on that. Thank you for your Blackpink reactions! More to come 😄
The scene with the ski masks was actually a statement about the type of life that KPOP idols have to live. The press was focused on the “perfect image” of Jisoo that was on the wall, and basically ignoring her person. Until she trips and falls. Then they essentially attack her with camera/guns blazing. An idol is expected to be a perfect image but as soon as they make a mistake they are attacked from all sides. The darker side of KPOP.
✨Blackpink✨ Jennie - rapper and lead vocal 24 years Lisa - rapper and dancer 23 years Jisoo - visual and vocal - 25 Rose - vocal and dancer 23 years Blackpink is a group that debuted in 2016 by the company YG enterniment, which is currently the 2nd largest kpop company in South Korea; BLACKPINK is basically the largest female kpop group in the world. @@makemestopalt3608 sorry for forgetting these details, but the intuition was not to give details I just wanted to make a brief presentation of what BLACKPINK is
If you didn’t know this is their first video to get 1 billion views they now have 3 videos with 1 billion views but next you should react to this song at Coachella and Whistle
Du-Ddu Du-Ddu doesn't really mean anything per se, its the sound of a weapon, "hit you with that *machine gun noise* " ...they're singing about mowing people down, "brrrrrt RAMBO" style, they're the Revolution 🤣
Now you can understand why Jennie said “F boys, not my boys, I cut them off in slices If you get our name wrong, ddu-du-ddu-du hit Drip, drip, ice it out, bust it down, top to the bottom” in Pretty Savage
I’m over simplifying I think but it’s kinda about how people underestimate them, like they see them as just pretty girls who are just sweet and timid but don’t have any substance to them. The term ‘Instagram models’ is thrown at them in a negative way a lot to mean that all they do is look pretty and wear nice clothes but they have no other talents. But they are saying they can be more than one thing. They can be pretty AND savage. They are beautiful AND successful AND smart AND powerful. It’s not one or the other. The ‘ddu du ddu du’ is a gun shot sound, like you being hit by bullets is a metaphor for you being hit by all the ways you underestimated them. That’s how I see it anyway. There is tons more to get from the mv too.
CMIIW, ddu-du sound like 'to do', and each member portray: Power = Jennie (the one w/ chess & tank) Wealth = Lisa (the one rapping in a safe) Beauty = Rose (the one w/ crown) Fame = Jisoo (the one whom people pointing the phone guns at) Also, I'm glad you guys are one of the few that catch that 'falling' scene.
I love how you guys react to Jisoo's pink hair scene, you actually got the true meaning behind it coz some people and reactors really don't know what's the meaning behind that scene and some just laugh it out, and for that kuddos to all of you guys, great reaction, more Blackpink please thank you.
You are one of the few reactors who find meaning in their music videos and how the objects symbolizes a message which I really love. Thank you for your reactions.
This song is better to listen using earphone/headphone. Because there are a lot of small bass kick that is very hard to hear by using typical laptop speaker, especially during Lisa and dance break part. I suggest you guys listen to this song again by your own, using earphone/headphone. You will feel a different experience. I can guarantee that : )
04:00 I'm so grateful, and it's so satisfying find someone who pays attention to Jisoo's part and sees that it's a scene well deserved of attention and theories. I'm just love you guys, only for this.
The unbiased opinion and just focusing on the music, the cinematography and the production is what makes them good as an reactor. Good job guys! Loving your reactions so far.
Go through the lyrics their mvs have lot to say, all the elements use in the music video are saying somethings if u go through the mv analysis u will understand it has a deep meaning. BTW I love your reaction, its the best among all I have seen, I love how u are trying to decipher them keep it up I am looking forward to more blackpink reaction.
ddu du ddu ddu is like bang bang bang gunshot sound. hit you with that ddu du ddu du. it goes with the message of the song too. something like they cute which people may see as weak or inferior but really they are something more than what people may think or see them as. you shouldn't be fooled. they can catch you off guard and hit you with that ddu du ddu du.
You guys did a great job in picking up a lot of the details of the video, better than most reactors. I was a bit surprised you didn't comment more on Jennie's rap verse on the tank, though. Overall, this song is a massive flex. And the "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du Du" is their way of mowing down anyone who underestimates them. On the surface, it can be taken as telling a prospective partner that BP are just out of their league. "Whatcha gonna do when I come come through with that uh... uh-huh?" "If you wanted something easy, oh wait til I do, when I hit you..."""hot, hot, hot, like fire" Beyond that, however, it's just a warning to the world that these girls are bad ass, and you shouldn't be deceived by the fact that they are cute. "My slender figure hides twice the volume." "I smile easily because it does me good". And my favourite line "I bought your whole bucket list" (around the time she runs over the shopping with her tank). Keep up the good work, guys!
Guys Guys YOU HAVE TO TURN ON THE CAPTIONS!!!! Every BlackPink video has english subtittles so you can also get the lyrics into the analisys cause IT'S WORTH IT
Ddu-du ddu-du is really just the machine gun sound. Like we're here and we're gonna hit you with our BLACK & PINK (pretty and savage) personality and music hard qnd back to back like a machine gun.
Hey, You can also do a review on Blackpink's new documentary on Netflix called Light Up the sky. You will get a insight on basic kpop, music production process, recording in studio and get to know more about the induvidual member. It shows their hardship, insecurities, behind the scenes of all the glamour and hype we seen on the outside. As crazy as the kpop world is, this documentary shows that they are just four normal girls who are living their wildest dreams.
I've been hooked up with their reactions toward blackpink. Their just so natural and they are explaining even the smallest thing regarding the mv and other blackpink videos. Nice!
Before Blackpink and BTS, there was this group who's very popular in Korea. They were tagged as the Kings of KPOP as their albums sold millions everytime. This band is Bigbang. Please react to them! You won't regret it!❤️❤️ Songs: Bang Bang Bang Goodboy FXXK It Fantastic baby
Most of Blackpink MV's have their own meaning until to its very small single details..I want to show you what they are off cam but I'll not spoil something, I'll just wait for you to finish all their songs first😁😁😁
Hey guys, based on your recent reactions to Blackpink's songs and music videos I kinda notice that you guys really know how to appreciate the details, specially about the used instruments and sets. I suggest you react to Blackpink's Kill This Love music video since the MV was fire. The elements of the MV are lit so I'm very sure ya'll love it!
In the video you mentioned something about not understanding what they’re saying, if you weren’t informed in your previous videos, they do actually have English captions since they have so many international fans, just thought I’d let you know. I loved this reaction and also how you understood the message in Jisoo’s scene with her pink hair despite not knowing what she was saying. Also, fun fact at 1:13 Jennie’s eyes change colour.
you can watch their mv making guys! that's one of thousand reasons why I love KPOP. Their song good, their vocal rap on point, choreography on point, and the mv is just BOOM
Please react to their version of SURE THING by Miguel. But first listen to the original version so that you'll know what they changed in the song. Please please.. their version is awesome!🖤
Ddu du ddu du is just a sound! Like a sound we express in Korean when we’re pretending to shoot a gun (more specifically sound of a machine gun cuz sound of normal gun we say bbang)
