She's the group's *visual* and also *lead vocal*. She's called the visual because she's the face of the group and is the most attractive according to Korean beauty standards (but who are we kidding, they're all attractive). She's also known for her unique, husky voice. She can speak fluent Korean, can speak Japanese,and Chinese. She's semi-fluent in English but she does understand what is spoken to her, just not much confidence to respond back in English (she's the only one in the group not totally fluent in English but it's ok since her members teach her whenever they can and she can absorb their multiple accents 😂). ---------- 2:08 Rosé / Roseanne Park / Park Chaeyoung (age 23) ( IG: t.co/Cq8pWT3r64 ) /row-zey/ /row-zan-park/ /park-chey-young/ Rosé is Korean by blood, born in New Zealand, and grew up all her life in Melbourne, Australia. She moved to South Korea in her early teens to train. She's the group's *main vocalist* and *lead dancer*. She's known for her angelic, sultry voice. She can speak English (it's her native language and spoken with a thick sexy Aussie accent ❤️), Korean, and Japanese. ---------- 1:07 Lisa / Lalisa Manoban (age 23) ( IG: t.co/Gi1IWKpbeZ ) /lee-sah/ /la-lee-sah-ma-no-bahn/ Lisa is Thai and moved to Korea in her early teens to train. She's the group's *main dancer* , *lead rapper* and *subvocal*. Lisa is usually the crowd favorite (especially for first-time reactors) because she catches their eyes first. People are usually shocked to find out she's the lead rapper instead of main because she takes more raplines. She's actually a monster dancer and usually tones down her dancing a bit to match her other members. She actually started dancing when she was just age 4 and participated in dance competitions and joined in numerous dance groups. She's versatile in the dance styles she can do. She has a RU-vid channel called 'Lilifilm Official' to showcase more of her dancing. You should check out her dance videos. She's the language genius of the group as she can speak English fluently (she sounds mostly American and at times a bit Australian because she picked up some of Rosé's accent), Korean, Thai (because she's Thai), Japanese, and Basic Chinese. ---------- Their company/label YG ENTERTAINMENT is among the biggest in Kpop. They're known for their heavy hip-hop influence and their concepts usually defy the boundaries of Kpop in their respective eras. YG has brought iconic acts like PSY (Gangnam Style dude), 2NE1 (queens of Kpop in the generation before BP), and BIGBANG (kings of kpop in the generation before BP). BLACKPINK has no official leader. They lived and trained together for at least 3 years to almost 10 years now (there's a range because some members trained earlier and some arrived late). -Lisa auditioned in Thailand (YG had auditions in Thailand) and placed 1st over the 4000 people that also auditioned. -Rosé was pursuaded by her dad to audition in Sydney, Australia. She placed 1st. -Jennie trained the longest. -Jisoo trained the 2nd longest. These queens are also global ambassadors of high-profile brands. Jennie is the house ambassador of Chanel. Lisa is of Celine. Rosé of Saint Laurent. Jisoo of Dior. They're ambassadors and endorsers of more brands but they're a lot so I figured I just state the most known ones 😂. In kpop groups, there are positions, and 'main' is higher than 'lead' in blackpink's case, Jennie is the main rapper so she should have more lines than what they give her.
