YG Family is known for being the hip hop giant in South Korea. Blackpink, Big Bang, 2NE1, iKon, Winner, One, Epik High, AKMU, Psy, etc... their artists have all been tied to hip hop and R&B influences while SM tends to gravitate more to preppy and pop. BTS on the otherhand is heavily influenced by Big Bang and YG artists in general hence why they have that hip hop sound as well. But Exo? Nah. They have a rapper in their group but he's underused and doesnt match up to a Bobby, Tablo, Lisa, CL, Mino, TOP, or G-Dragon. Not even close.
