@@archive2500 no kpop is a genre because basically it's Pop but in Korean = Korean Pop (K-Pop), when it comes to some other genre we can call them K-RnB, K-Hiphop etc. Kpop is influenced by a Black Culture that's why most of the kpop song has a rap parts in it.

@@mrpiggy4031 kpop is an industry, luv. the korean music industry is huge. different kinds of music falls underneath kpop like trap, r&b, hip hop, jazz, ballad, disco, etc which is why groups do different genres. why would you call a song like, for example, Singularity by Taehyung or any rap song by any group as pop LMAOO it’s not K-Pop, even though it’s by a K-Pop group member. It’s classified as r&b or whatever genre the song falls into. k-pop is literally korean popular, not just korean pop music like you think it is.
