Icon is a launched roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. Manufactured by Mack Rides of Germany, the ride opened on Friday 25th May 2018 at a total cost of £16.25 million. The ride is the first multi-launch roller coaster in the United Kingdom, using linear magnetic synchronous motors to propel the train along the track. Icon serves as the park's sixth steel roller coaster and tenth roller coaster overall. The name "Icon" was announced on 10 April 2017 with the tagline, "Dare To Ride”.

I’m in Blackpool while I watch this it’s such a great thrilling ride the restraints and everything are very secure and comfortable I definitely recommend and the other rides aswell are great

I actually did a challenge with my friend where we had to try and sleep on the front row haha. She managed, but I've always been a huge insomniac!

mike fotch not when the ride is going though, hit your head about 50 times and get a headache, still a good ride though.

All I gotta say about this ride is that it is A LOT faster than it looks. The scariest part for me was the first drop and I’m not trying to scare anyone if u haven’t been on it. People say it isn’t intense but it is quite intense ngl. When we left the seating station and went onto the track I was like I change my mind! But I’m glad I went on it

I love this coster when it went down the first launch my mind thought why ive done this and when it goes over the big hill my tummy drop and now i love its better then the infusion not as rough what do you think steve

I find all vekoma slc coasters to be uncomfortable so not of a fan of them to be honest and i find the restraints to chunky

Good coaster but it needed something more, it's a long ride, some more inversions would have really completed it. Good coaster, but not as good as it could have been

So many rides just pack inversions in like literally every ride at Alton towers. Icon has something unique about it that makes it truely awesome. My favourite for sure

Tatsu Viper it's really really fast in person I have been on it with my friends on a school trip in person it's really fast but in video it looks slow so don't believe everything that you see on social media it's actually faster than Pepsi max

@@nazimuddinahmed5015 I live in Blackpool and I did watch this ride when it first opened,sorry to say to me it looks lame,it does,nt do much I,ve got no intentions to ride it.Lucky for me I,ve been all over the states riding the best rollercoasters.
