Hi Paul love all the videos of the back streets and all the empty buildings it's such a shame I came to Blackpool in 1987 it was lovely place I had friends who used to go to Blackpool for holidays back in the seventies they sometimes stayed in the Kimberly hotel I know now it's derelict carry on with the videos great

Hi Susan, Many thanks for your lovely comment and watching the video, it was a lovely places back then thriving with life and had an amazing atmosphere, my great Auntie used to own a b&b on Palatine road back int he 60's 70's and was always so busy, infact to busy so I have been told, sadly the tourism industry has been hit, what with package holidays and other destinations in the UK attracting more people, hopefully Blackpool can turn around and bring back the old days what once was, they are investing in near the Town Centre and Cleveleys has become a really nice place as they have done a lot of development in the area. I love Blackpool and am one of its biggest fans, I even like seeing videos on this side of the town, sad as it is to be in this state.

Hi and many thanks for your comment and watching the video, glad you enjoy Blackpool and are a great fan off it, as I’ve said in a few comments before it’s really well looked after on the Prom it’s just the streets away from the Prom in certain areas which is sadly lacking far behind the development they are doing to regenerate the area, hopefully they will invest in these areas ( Blackpool Council ) which is much needed for the residents off these areas. again thanks for watching and hope you enjoy our future videos, take care and thanks again Paul.

Just watched your channel for the first time.. thankyou for uploading your videos..now subscribed. Very nice to look around Blackpool warts and all.. I used to live on Pedders Lane which is near to Arnold School as it was called...any chance you can do a video around this area..will bring back a few memories for me.. thankyou...🤠

I personally would like to see all of Blackpool and what your doing is great unlike some other RU-vidrs in Blackpool who just video the town all the time as well as keep going to hotels recently!

Heart breaking, I used to live in Blackpool, with my grand parents. Would be curious to see footage of Erdington Road as it is now, especially numbers 60 and 70 Erdington.

1979 the first time I went to Blackpool and other than the tower I recognised nothing now, it was full of people, the hotels and B&Bs had signs up NO VACANCIES, the seafront was packed with holidaymakers, donkeys on the beach had a long queue of people wanting rides, the smells of fish n chips candyfloss and toffee apples were everywhere, there were no homeless people or strange looking people begging, it was spotlessly clean, I remember seeing the tractors sweeping the beach in the mornings and the front being hosed down, the flower beds looked amazing and the lights at night looked like something from Disney World, you need to look at some of the bizarre decisions the council has taken over the years to work out why it is like is today, paying B&Bs extra money to take homeless people from all over the UK is one thing they did, who wants to holiday next to a B&B full of drug-addicted homeless people, so when one B&B does it they all have to do it or close down,

Good afternoon and many thanks for your comment and watching the video, I agree Blackpool used to be an amazing place to visit, people come from far and wide to visit here, and as you said some not so good decisions by the Local Council over the years and lack off investment has made the situation worse for all people here. They are trying to regenerate the prom and Cleveleys they have done a great job to be fair, but if you wonder a street or two away from the prom it really hits you, you can see needles beer cans and discarded clothing in the streets. They Council needs to address these issues for residents living in these conditions and invest more in the surrounding areas, again agree with what you have said and appreciate taking the time to comment. Where staying by the conference centre in august and I was wondering if you can tell me what parts of blackpool the supermarkets are in so I can see if they do a tram or bus to them.

Good Morning, Of course, they have a Sainsbury's in the town Centre, which bus routes to and from where your staying, you can also jump on a tram to Cleverley's and they have Aldi, Lidl's and M&S etc their alongside plenty off other shops, and some great cafes if you want to stop off for a bite off lunch. All have bus/tram routes available to you. Hope that Helps. many thanks Paul

@@TheBlackpoolLads The last time we visited Blackpool we used Sainsbury's but it was a bit expensive so this time I thought we would try Aldi, Tesco or Asda. I did see a Aldi on the way to Fleetwood but I didn't know what area it was in but after watching a few Blackpool videos I now know it was in Cleverley's and they also have a Asda in Fleetwood. I will probably go on a tram to Fleetwood but I was wondering if they had anything closer.

They do have Sainsbury’s in Bispham, again you can get their by bus or the tram, so plenty of supermarkets dotted around all within a bus/tram ride aslo.

Birmingham is really good got loads of supper merkets corner shops and bowel alleys its a massive area its the second biggest city after london Birmingham and London
