Take a visit to the single biggest investment in the history of Blackpool Zoo, Project Elephant Base camp which opened in March 2018 and is home to a herd of six elephants. This area has been specially designed around the needs of the mammoth species featuring state of the art equipment and facilities, including the largest indoor area in the UK
With a full schedule of talks, feeds and displays on offer as well as our interactive walk-though exhibits such as Lemur Wood or Rainbow Landings, you’re guaranteed to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Big Cat Habitat officially opens 26th May 2023. The lions can now be seen in their new home, and you may catch a glimpse of Alyona, the Amur tiger.
