Blackpool Zoo Summer 2022, a walk through Blackpool Zoo.
A huge collection of animals to see from wolves, kangaroos, elephants, giraffes, sea lions and penguins to name a few.
A fantastic family day out in Blackpool.
Blackpool Zoo is celebrating 50 years this year. It was first opened as a zoo in July 1972. Kate the Asian elephant is 54 years old and has been with the zoo since the start, she came to the UK in 1971 and was housed in a secret location until the zoo opened in 1972.
The sea lion pool, which is the biggest in the UK, is home to 7 Californian sea lions.
Unfortunately the big cat house was closed, preparing for a new state of the art enclosure coming in 2023.
