You use to could get them from your high school shop teachers, electrical, automotive, plumbing and general construction were all things we learned in high school. Then when I went to TEC school I got to learn machine shop and was introduced to the math involved. Then went to engineering school. I probably never would have done that had it not been for the high school teachers encouragement. Now most schools have no shop classes, and urbane schools teach only the state test, and many don't pass that.
I'd like to hear about your shop! looked like quite a process. I'm about to buy a house and ill probably only get something like a two car garage to work in. Howd you end up with a badass shop like that at your age??
+Rainfall Projects It's impressive, I've been fortunate enough to be doing work in a museum smithy for the past year, it's great because if the history and tools available, but because it's a museum we cant do a whole lot with the anvils to stop the ring on them. Kudos though.
+Rainfall Projects You just keep on doing what you're doing. Anyone can spout psychological terms like "External Validation" but not many can make beautiful things with fire and hammers.
We all want external validation to some degree. It's not modern culture. It's human nature. No need for that to sting. Your not seeking it too much. And anyway, you're good at what you do. People want to see it. You have a good eye for design and your vid production is good too. Just the right amount of explanation. Your enjoyment of what you do shows. Subbed :o) N.B. ughhhhhhhhgghgh doesn't sound like a hater to me. His comment is way too positive :o)
