Thank you for sharing and teaching how the medieval blacksmiths forged spears, knives, axes, etc. I believe it is important to keep this knowledge alive and to pass it on.
Beautiful spear heads! You might have read this book already, but there are technical details about the forging process of spears from N. Europe. The book is called: "Norwegian spear-heads from the merovingian and viking periods" by Bergljot Solberg. It includes a few x-rays if I remember correctly.
@@officinaferraria It is an interesting book, but do you know other books or articles about the composition of spear-heads from 11th-12th century? I am especially interested in the pattern welding of the Nordic and Baltic spear-heads from this period. I cannot read polish though
