Blacksmithing - Forging a Basket Weave Leather Stamp

Well done. I have made some beautiful gouges for turning wood on my lathe as well as knives ect, but I have to admit, this simple solution never crossed my mind. After realizing the Tandy stamp tool set I started with was complete garbage and paying $53+ shipping for a single Barry King basketweave stamp, I will absolutely be making multiple sizes of this pattern. That BK stamp was a revelation after smashing so much good leather to hell with the ragged Tandy junk, I was laughing out loud after the 1st tap, unbelievable difference and made the work much easier and faster, but for the costs of those tools, I will replicate as many as I can if possible. Thank you for sharing. I'll be on the lookout for any more of these videos. Cheers

I make in leather. I thought this was in my feed because of that pastime. Blacksmithing is my for-pleasure watch. Not something I felt I could take up right now. Making your own stamps is cool AF. I really appreciate how clean the pattern is!

Nice looking tool. Is it for sale? I really like that basketweave look. Most I have seen in the leather stores are too busy...a design within a design...and too expensive. Very nice.
