Thanks for this, Jonathan! I swapped my Strymon Iridium for one of these Blackstar Amped 1 units after watching your review. No regrets at all. Thanks for all the great content.
This is a wonderful piece of kit Jon. I’ve seen several demos of this but yours is by far the best (as usual 😃) magical !! Simple yet deep enough with plenty of options. Nicely done. 😃👍👍👍🙏
Hi Jonathan, smooth intro, thank you. The Amped looked very comprehensive with many tonal adjustments. I imagine it would take a bit to get used to but sounded great. Cheers ✌️🎸💜
When i saw them release from pmtvuk channel,i was amazed how its sound, its dead on sound like a real tube amp,I still love real guitar amps, but for this I have convinience and ease of mind,I will prefer to use it live with a speaker cab and the built in cab Sim through the foh, because let's face the reality, that some of back line or rented amps in the venue,in either already distorted or not properly working, and when we travel to other countries,it is hard to transport amplifier heads,so having blackstar amped 1 will save you on a worst situation if the back line amp is damaged or if you can bring your amp head, this will be a substitute to your amp head, and it all digital so no worries unlike the real tube amp that is delicate and worrying your tubes getting blow I will save money to try this
Thanks for this video, I own an Amped 1 and am very satisfied with it. I have some trouble when connecting it to a PA with the XLR output because every PA sounds differently and sometimes the overall sounds lack the attack and the power of an electric guitar. Still, the Amped 1 is an excellent product, especially for players who already own pedals. Regarding this video, I'd like to know how the Amped1 was connected: 1) directly to a cabinet using a microphone? 2) directly using the Amped1 as a sound card? 3) using XLR o headphones out to go into your sound card? Many thanks
I still can't believe they used Amped 1 as the name considering how similar it is in form factor and general purpose to the Amp 1 from BluGuitar. That seems deliberate. I will say though, this is more of a pedal platform to me than anything else.
