Excellent review! Thank you. I have the Blackstar deluxe package that includes the travel guitar (in off-white), the Fly 3 amp Bluetooth, soft gig bag, cable, picks, a little hex key, guitar strap, and truss rod wrench. Purchased the Blackstar power supply separately. It's a great package and quality gear. Highly recommend.
It's a 6 volt power supply. I got one on e-bay for 10 bucks. Works fine. If you buy the stereo pack with 2x3 watt speakers you get a power supply with it for an extra 25 or 30 bucks which works out cheaper in the long run. Great little amp!
Just bought the combo unit with AC power supply and an extra speaker from Musicians Friend in the USA. A few pittance more and the date is 2018. You made a fantastic illustrative demo of the controls, sounding outrageous thru a Bluetooth speaker from my iPad. Can’t wait until mine arrives. Speaker technology is so incredible now, so much that I shudder when I hear music coming from a bare smartphone speaker. It’s a new world if you can take it.
So I’m not sure if they didn’t have the power supply option or the Ext. cabinet. They do now and they have a Vintage version in white that is really nice 👍 I also bought the Acoustic version as well. Man they aren’t going to be a Vintage tube amp sound of course but, they are awesome for what they are. Thanks for the posting.
Great review! I have a review and some demos up too of the stereo pack with the adapter, might be worth getting still even though you have the bluetooth version. You can keep the stereo rig setup somewhere at home, and then take the bluetooth one and adapter on the road!
I have the non BT version, I thought before that I hoped they would have the bluetooth to remove the line in cable if im playing with a backing track, and now this came up, Great!
Thank you for the great review. I definitely will order one so I can play in my truck during my down time with my traveller guitar. I would like to ask what is a decent affordable wireless guitar transmitter/receiver like you use in the video? Thanks again
Nice vid and nice playing man! I was wondering, is the blackstar fly 3 loud enough to play for example outdoor (next to flowing river) with an acoustic guitar? I would use it to jam outside with my acoustic guitar and loop myself so that i can jam with myself outdoors, at a campfire for example.. would it be suitable for such a situation and produce decent volume in decent quality? And is the only difference between the bluetooth and the non bluetooth version really only the bluetooth?
DanTheMan 92 as far as I can tell, the Bluetooth function is the only difference. As for your other question, I wouldn’t ask too much from this tiny amp. You could probably crank it if you get the dual cab option
nice review! :D question: what if i play along with a backing track on a cranked up gain on the clean setting (or using the OD setting), will the sound be all distorted?
Hi lodi, can i use this as an audio interface? Guitar>Amp>Laptop(Guitar Rig for effects) and then record and play music at the same time? Would that be possible? Thanks 😊
Perfecto, I'm brand new to your videos. I'll watch all of them. Can't wait to hear you and Arnel's music. Bet it's very soulful and beautiful. When I get some extra money I'm going to buy a Fly and a Chapman guitar.
Can I use the Delay effect to alter sound from my bluetooth/line in device? I want to use it as a music player that can add delay to my favorite songs, if possible. Thanks!
Great review considering one, can i use this in youtube? Like recording directly, i plan on making a new channel,,, thanks fan m ako since rivermaya days
@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro I'm sorry, no link. But you can easily find the right connector in an electronics spare parts shop for 50 cents. Actually that was what I did myself.
i just got one ,not blue tooth but I'm thinking of adding the extra speaker and mountain them on my audio desk , just for simple example noodling when writing recording on the fly,,cheers!
Bill Ward Bluetooth is a wireless connection used for speakers, phones, laptops, etc. Do a search. In this video my guitar is plugged into the Blackstar input socket while my laptop is connected wirelessly via Bluetooth
