We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables ru-vid.comUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press. This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.
BTW…You can refill those little green gas bottles with an adapter from Harbor Freight that attaches to your 20lb tank as the source. Buy them once and never have to drag around the big tank again. 😃
Good video. Good description of accessories. Did not know Walmart sold BS. Gonna pick up some of those magnet hook hangers. I have the 36" and love it. I am prolly gonna pick up the 22" for trips. Do consider record in landscape mode next time. (; Thanks.
Spent more time selling the accessories than info on the griddle. Would be nice to see how it folds/unfolds, a visual on the heating elements, price etc.
This could be a great BBQ, but it has some drawbacks. 1. The plate is too thin, it warps as soon as you carry out the seasoning procedure. The plate needs webbing support cast into it to stop warping. 2. It's susceptible to wind because there is a huge gap between the plate and the base. But for a fold up portable BBQ it has a good size plate to cook for a reasonable size crowd. 👍
Wow mine or anyone I know of has not warped. I've done the seasoning on 3 of them and no warping. You might wana return yours. That shouldn't happen. As to the space you are correct but all the blackstone grills do that. They make wind protection plates that work great. I buy them for all my blackstone grills. I love these grills I have 5 of them all different sizes and configurations one of them we take on our motorhome when traveling and they can take a beating. Good luck and enjoy cooking on it this summer.
Nice video. Thank you for not doing a put together video. Nice to see video just on the grill. Question does that top come off the stand so you can use it as a table top?
Just put mine together, was there anything else that secures the griddle onto the stand? Besides the keyhole and the latches for traveling there isn’t anything else to secure it I noticed. Instructions don’t say anything but seems awfully weird
No that's it. It just sits in there its like a key hole you put it in the larger end of the hole and then you slide it back into the smaller part were it locks in. To remove it slide it toward you to the larger end of the hole and It will come out..if you want when traveling you can wrap a ratchet strap around it to the stand and griddle together. Just make sure you don't over tighten it to the hood might bend it in.
@@bigguy1403 thanks for the response, figured that was probably it. Hope I don’t accidentally not it out of place lol, and thanks for the ratchet strap idea!
Any idea where I can get a cover for this griddle. Blackstone has said to use the 28" side shelf full cover because they stopped producing the 22" Culinary Griddle Cover. Seems stupid to not offer a cover for this griddle. Any ideas?
@@JohnnyRacerX Glad I could help. I use it all the time sometimes the prep tables are to full of meats and dishes and it's just so easy to just slip it in there without having to lay it down and taking the chance of it falling off the table. Thanks for watching.
You did not show the propane connection tot he adapter. The adapter sold by Blackstone states that it DOES NOT work with the model #1935. What adapter did you get -- and how does it fit? What is the specific size of the fitting to the #1935
Yes sorry your right I did not show that part because all i was showing was how to build it. I haven't had anyone ask me that before but your right i should have showed that too. I bought the adapter from Walmart it simply stated fits all portable blackstone grills. The price today is $21.99 it says propane tank adapter hose 3 foot LP tank adapter. I would tell you to buy what you need for it at your local Walmart they are a blackstone distributor and they sell the parts for less. You can go on line at Walmart.com and order parts also. The hose comes with the regulator and fits all 1 pound propane tanks. It just screws into the side of the grill on one end and to the larger propane tank on the other end. Hope this helps.
Ok so you have to grab the handle on the end and step on the feet and pull up on the unit and the unit will disengage from the legs and fold down flat. Make sure you keep your foot on the feet till you lay it all the way down...hope that helps.
You put your foot on the floor legs and pull up on the side orange handle and it will release from the two u shaped holders slide forward and go down with it slowly to go back up same thing in reverse and set the legs back into to u shape holders...
Well your kinda missing the point here. Yes that's true but it's not ment to have the big tank on it it was designed for the small green bottle tank like a 2 day use camping and that way you can wheel it around. Thank for watching.
What a stupid comment. Like no shit you're not gonna wheel it around while it's connected to a 20lb tank. You could easily just detach the tank and wheel it to where you want them hook the tank up. You're not moving it while grilling anyway.
Sorry but I spent more then I minute on the grill. I went over everything on the grill and then on the accessories. Thank you for pointing that out. Next time I'll do more on the next grill. Is there anything you need to know that I can help you with?
