Hey Brother! This size knife is what I like to often carry when hunting as a back up to my main fixed blade. Good as a back up and also the finer more delicate cuts and food prep. While the larger blade is for bold slashing movements, utility and - God forbid - survival. Thanks Brother 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
I want to get one of these, too! Tim is such a great guy and has become a great friend. I got to hang out with him and Jacob from Very Good Knife Company at Blade Show a bit, and they are good people. I have one of Jacob's knives, and I feel the same as you, Scab. Such great design and quality. The Snook is going to be amazing!
Looks like a great little edc fixy! I have made a few knives that size and love them. I do agree that a slightly bigger handle would make it over the top!
@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors Everything is going great. The heat wave here finally broke and I am looking forward to getting back in the shop to make a few things that have been bouncing around in my head.
@@LastChanceKnives brother I cannot wait to see what you got I am very impressed with your skill set really really look forward to seeing what you got working
I ordered one of these on the morning of the drop. This exact variant. I love that pistachio and blue micarta and the knife looks great. I carry a Lionsteel M1 every day on my belt was I wanted something a little larger. This Snook looks like it’ll be perfect. I can’t wait to get it in the mail tomorrow.
Hi Scab, Love that knife. I'd like it even more if it had a lanyard hole so I could fasten it to my wrist when using it around the water. Rock on brother!
Much love brother I absolutely adore what you did with the edge profile here!! We move closer to our goals every day brother appreciate you very much!!
It seems like a thoughtfully designed knife for maximum utility. I appreciate you showing it in your pocket. I am currently taking a break from folders and looking at EDC fixed blades. The sheath matters quite a bit. Does it hold the knife securely? Does it have a good pushoff? Is it taco style or do they have an unnecessary amount of extra plastic on it? I am interested in how much handle is showing. My preference is not to have a lot of handle showing so can I attach a Discreet Carry Pocket Clip or Ulticlip in a way to have very little of the knife handle exposed? Thanks!
It’s a taco style sheath… very minimal, light, and slim. Good thumb ramp. Excellent retention but easy to deploy. Comes with two kydex belt loops, one vertical and one for horizontal scout carry. The sheath is TekLock and UltiClip compatible and can be set up in a number of ways. I have this one set up with an UltiClip Slim 3.3 to ride a little higher. But it can easily be adjusted to ride lower in the pocket with nothing showing. All sheaths are hand molded in house. It’s quality my brother!
Yes'rrr I have two knives made by Jacob at Very Good Knife Company and let me just tell ya I love them both that dude makes a great blade no matter what model it is!
I like the looks but GD'it companies......Give us some friggin room on the sharpening coil to sharpen. There just might be a couple of us here that would like to use the tool more than 1 or possibly 2 sharpening's for chrissakes! Knife making 101 fails are inexcusable in this day and time....... Rant over y'all, Love yah Scabber
