Bladder & Kidney Spasms | Let's Talk IBD 

I have Crohn’s and once was part of a documentary about it in a national TV program here in Switzerland. I got over one hundred really kind letters. But there was one, where a woman was cursing the producers and me, because I mixed a nutritional drink (normally for CF) with milk. She went on and on about lactose intolerance and that I was stupid and deserved to be ill. I’m NOT lactose intolerant! Everybody is different, as you said. Personally, I’m not good with toooooo many vegetables. My body has a hard time digesting them. But in general, most people do benefit from eating lots of veggies. Just ignore the people who tell you what to eat, without knowing you personally, having Crohn’s, let alone your body. I’m pretty sure that you have an astonishing feeling for your body by now, and can pinpoint quite well, what’s wrong with your body when you go to a doctor, before he’s even made any tests.

And I'm glad you give yourselves permission to eat alternately on occassion. You are going through enough, and a treat will make you feel better.

Definitely E47 and E49. Love them for a bathroom at a wedding venue.

Congratulations on the tours for the barn. As far as diet, we all have our own things and everyone's body acts differently to different things. I think the E47 tile is really unique and cool.

I sincerely hope you share some part of your speacial day as i would love to see you SHINE. I can't believe how much you've been through and yet you always smile, polite and caring for others. Your an epitome of an AMAZING NURSE. I LOVE YOU TO BITS. I hope yoir wedding day is everything youbwant as you deserve it. And your current renal problems settle and the kidney stents don't continue to hurt as much. Many people I've looked after say that every stent is different and some hurt alot, some are sensitive and some don't hurt at all. I really hope yours settle as you deserve a break. I agree with Maggie this time ! Our diy stores having same problems with their plants here in uk workers being furloughed so nobody keeping up watering makes me so sad

typically in a commercial space you want your fixtures, tiles, flooring, and furnishings to be the same throughout...if you think about it, if you go into a mall or a church or a hotel or a museum, all of the bathrooms have the same flooring and tile and fixtures regardless of where you use the bathroom.

Hi Maggie! I'm glad you're past your surgery. I'm the person who suggested you make sure they give you the stent meds and no string. So just fyi the bad news is the stent pain will not get better - it's constant until they take it out. The good news is that the day they take it out will be a day of joy for you. The pain will go away like 90% almost immediately and the rest will fade away quickly. You should really make Zak bake you a cake on that day. Good luck!

The tiny orange 🍊 flowers that were your favorite are called Lantana in the south. They multiply and can take over if not maintained and they smell like Mary Jane 🤪

I too had kidney surgery twenty odd years ago, also had a stent put in, kept it in for six months!!

Hi from Kelvin in the land down under...🐨 🦘. If you are feeling a rubbing sensation from your catheter it must be placed incorrectly. The tubing shouldn’t be protruding past the balloon that holds it in place. I admire your resilience throughout all the problems you are faced with. 💐 🥰

E49 and E47 are perfect! And what's wrong with treating yourself to a cheat day occasionally?? BK and Starbucks sound like perfect, healthy-ish, cheat day treats to me!💜 Also, look into getting a few different types of floral frogs. My grandma used the ones with the holes in them the most, but she also had the ones with the little needles. They work wonders for intricate floral designs.

I like E 77 for the ladies room and E 71 for the mens room.

I like E47 and I like the black with white veins (missed the number). E47 is by far my favorite!

E89 for the mens and E91 for the ladies, both antique-like and great for a rustic barn and they compliment each other.

E47 for men and e49 for ladies. I like the colored version but I think that pattern in black and white is really elegant

Thought the impossible burger wa s the best until.....at Kroger I saw the beyond burger patties in the freezer ....OH MY GOODNESS....have not had meat in 35 yrs this taste just like a real hamburger. Used the daves multi grain bun to put it on....

I get bladder spasms too. I’ve had success with the med Uribel. For home treatments I make sure my pelvic floor is relaxed, so I’ll massage my lower abs/pubic area. If it’s really bad, I put an ice pack above my bladder. Instant relief! I know everyone’s different though and you just had surgery. Just sayin I know how uncomfortable it can be! You got this!

I had 3 years of kidney surgeries. My right was half full of stones, my left was a staghorn calculi. Stents everywhere from 1-6-16 to 10-10-18. I would be able to pee for about 2 or 3 seconds. When I left the bathroom my bladder still felt full, but because of the burning (like jet fuel) I couldn't go any more. On my way to the bathroom again I would start to pee a little bit, it would sting, I would scream and I sounded like a porg. Thank goodness that is all over. You can eat Burger King? Alex won't tolerate that, but he loves turkeyburgers. He loves peas, corn & carrots, no onions or peppers. Tomatoes and lettuce (each piece of lettuce MUST be cut to be the shape of the state of Illinois). E61 womens E75 mens The flower arrangement is lovely. I also like your top. That stint is a real pain. I only had to have mine in for 2 weeks, Two long weeks. I hated that thing. Felt like I was sitting on a stick! Mine had to be put in for a kidney stone removal. I had to sit in an office chair for those 2 weeks since I was a secretary and had to be at work. Not fun. Was so glad when that thing was removed! Oh, I have not been able to find Bubly anywhere here.

For the men’s bathroom I like the E75 but also something you didn’t discuss. Top left E1. Maybe only tiled 4-5 feet and the top painted in the same colour, just a bit lighter. For women’s bathroom I do like E77, I’m just not sure if these busy tiles date too quickly.

It helps that your website sign was shown in the background when you sat down in the barn.

I think a little height in the middle of the flowers would make it flawless, they are beautiful as is though. Don’t over do yourself. I had lower lumbar surgery and I now have funky spasms. Not fun. ❤️

IV have bladder spasms when I had stints or a Cath in worst with Cath I guess but man no fun. Good luck!!!! I had stint back in April you need to talk to Dr. Asap bound the constant pain sure their is a lot of pain but it shouldn't be consistent,

Hey Maggie, you don’t know about why the 🪑’s are by the drop boxes?? Oh no, don’t know if I want to tell you, you took a chair a person uses 3 to 4 days a week! Anywho, I’m just kidding Maggie...lol You will give that chair a whole new look, and will be of comfort to many. Comfort, get it...like sitting down and...ok, I hush. :( lol I get more and more excited to see the venue in it’s completion, then I visualize it finished, and the chandelier...I CANT WAIT!! lol Anywho, you get better , ya hear...just close dose eyes, rest and heal. I hate you are in pain! The good news about me :) So, my appointment went well. My problem evidently is not as serious as yours is/was let’s hope, WAS! I do though hope the stint takes care of things. I was told my kidney is still distended, still things aren’t just as he would like, so in 6 months they want to take another ctscan. He said he doesn’t want to be the next Dr who will preform the 14th surgery on me in 3 years. Well honestly, I don’t blame him. I’m tired Maggie, I don’t want anymore! I’m more afraid what’s gonna get me in time once again is scar tissue. Yep, just a matter of time. Hey, wait a minute (I say loudly to myself) think positive Mary...I could be just fine in the here, there, and the now! 🤪 So, I have a question Maggie..Just as my thoughts about being hopeful I’m done, no more problems, no more surgeries. If this all goes well with you, could this be it, your done and you will see living with crones disease is treating you well now? Like no more pain too!! Ok, I’m done talking your ear off!! Only problem with dark tiles is they show every mark, so if they're behind the mens toilet...

Let's hope your barn is done for your wedding. Forget about what might happen and just plan for what you know for certain - you, Zack and the officiant are the only three IMPORTANT people for that date the others are just icing on you cake.

The black or very dark tile may show every splish and splash.

Did your urologist discuss how certain foods, (like citrus, tomatoes, whatever) can effect your spasms? Maybe it’s been all sorted however due to the IBD. Just a thought.

Have you researched what else you can do to help your spasms? Like other than the oxybutynin? Or can you ask for a different medication or stronger dosage?

Is there something you can put over the grout to keep it from showing dirt? I have seen a floor where the grout stayed clean, and all the others turn dirty grungy.

My boyfriend brother is getting married at the end of aug. there’s only about 16 people coming.. they were thinking of postponing it. I think they’re still going through with it. 🤞🏻

My mom likes flowers to. She keeps a fold-up military shovel and bags in the trunk of her car. For "opportunities" and one may or may not of come up in a food chain stores parking lot. Old ladies just don't care.

I wish I could afford to eat pescatarian cuz that's the only kind of protein or whatever I can eat due to swallowing and textural issues. I cannot eat most animal proteins besides fish. And a lot of veggies I can't eat due to the same issues as well so I can't eat very healthy lol

I’ve had an ileostomy for about five months now and I have not been eating any greens at all as Im so afraid of getting a blockage. I love chopped spinach but I’ve heard it is hard to digest.. I’d love to have a small salad or at least the spinach.. do you have any input at all Maggie about these foods and blockages? I see some people eat almost everything. I feel at times I’m being too restrictive with my diet.. my surgeon told me to eat whatever I want.. but stoma nurse right after my surgery didn’t quite say that.. 🤷‍♀️🤔
