The thing is Marvel is too family friendly, if anything blade should be a series like The Punisher or Daredevil where they can go all out on the violence and darkness
It just ain't right man it really ain't now you know how they do in the WWE F I'm not going to call it WWE they f*** them over man Vince McMahon is a b**** and one day he going to get what's coming to him what we don't love lost on my part he better enjoy it because one more month his wife going to be out of a job as secretary. So she's coming back to the WWF no tell her what kind of control she going to influence because she would no longer be employed by the federal government
I just watched Blade 2 yesterday and I definitely agree. Nomak was definitely his best adversary and tragic villain. It hurts no more. Man I felt that.
@@briancottingham1674 true but in the sense blade 1 was sword this was the best hand to hand nomak gave as good as blade in this fight if blade hadn’t picked up his word game over and don’t even get me started on blade 3 that was some bs yes drac would overpower blade but he wouldn’t have been that damn op that they made him
@@MackTheMadman I was referring to the fight that happened before Blade fought Deacon Frost. That’s top 3 best fights in the franchise. I agree with you on Blade Trinity(3) it wasn’t choreographed good and you can tell Wesley Snipes didn’t want to be there but Drake was the weakest villain in the franchise and supposed to be the first vampire. They made him strong but 1 dimensional.
I've always loved how Snipes and the filmmakers weren't afraid to show Blade on the receiving end of a good beatdown.🤣🤣 Blade's the better and more experienced fighter and tactician, but Nomak still comes close to winning out of sheer strength and ferocity. I love the final stagger and slump by Blade at the end of the fight, it really gives the impression his victory was a last ditch effort. Too many times, especially in a lot of modern movies, the hero walks away without so much as breaking a sweat. It's refreshing and adds a lot more emotional weight when it feels like we just watched an actual struggle.
Agreed. I remember watching this years ago and honestly didn't know how the hell Blade was going to win. The movie is called Blade 2, but I thought Blade was going to die killing Nomack
Wulf Stein oh yea, you got that right bro, but all I mean is he isn't the only one with skill, drake had skill, but nomak was the most skilled I'd say, with hand to hand combat especially, drake and frost could only fight with a sword, as far as I know, could only fight blade with a sword, they definitely had sword skill, but nomak was the most skilled, in my opinion, especially with hand to hand combat.
billy bob joe shabalaba ding dong yup I agree, but he also is the only one that didn't need any supernatural God powers or a final form, nomak started as a reaper and died as a reaper, no type of enhancers or anything
“It hurts no more” is the most powerful quote in the whole movie, and gives heart to the villain. He basically has lived a painful existence and finally find some peace when he accepts his own death. So poignant
I thought the fight held up well besides the CGI. Weird nonsense angles and bendy models. Didn't really make sense when Blade was getting tossed around.
@@fairlanephantom lol not at all. All the models were seamlessly working together and there was no “wErId NoNsENsE aNgLes” or “bEndY moDeLs” as all the angles were very dynamic for the fight to have high intense energy. It DID make sense when blade was getting tossed around as the CGI worked really well!
@@wzx6x6z6w not just a director, he's a screenwriter, author, artist, producer. He knows almost every process in the industry, that's why his crafts are consistent, time efficiency, and memorable. In my opinion, he's in the same tier as Spielburg, Cameron, Burton and Lucas
@@briancottingham1674 lol what? He did have a lot of screen time for the character a tone, what are you going on about as Nomak was fleshed out enough as a revenge seeking beast.
Stay clean and Stay safe I like Dracula more because he's so powerful that he doesn't need to go around infecting people. He also has the shapeshifting and chase scene.
Nomak was 1 of those multi layered antagonists in all comic books films. He didn't just kill for the sake of killing but understood the fact that he was dangerous and felt pain/betrayed from his dad/family. So he killed to survive and when he inserted that blade all the way in he knew that was the time to check out. Damn he also gave Blade a run for it's money. Great film
@@joselegaspi2549 He's not. He's an original character created for the film. The fact that he was still a great villain says a lot to me. Would love to see him in comics, I mean, Harley Quinn first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series before coming into comics, they can do the same for Nomak I imagine. He's a great villain.
What I like about this scene is how deep it gets with Nomak’s death. You can obviously see that the thirst, the constant need to feed and the revenge he seeks for the people who made him this way has taken a toll on him mentally. In addition, the beast within is taking more and more control of Nomak physically. When finally given the chance to be free (by means of suicide) he takes it. As he does the beast inside him is the one screeching in pain while Nomak almost looks to be smiling in relief. Nomak was plagued with having this monster inside him and the only way to kill it was taking his own life. Alot of layers from a Vampire Kung-Fu movie.
It is a true honor to watch Wesley Snipes in action, his martial arts skills are awesome. Ali is a great actor, but Wesley will always be the true Blade.
@UnchainedHero Some people can't use contacts, albeit too much pain putting em in or just straight up alergy. I don't think I can put them in my eyes either.
@Cataclysmic Dildoser Dracula was a old time fighter and probably back in he's time he was considered the best and he was mostly more of a swordsman than hand to hand
@@rafaelarianto2638 damn right, dracula's skin was armor itself. So he had to use the serum. Considering dracula was very hard to beat, that fight didnt last long though, just an injection killed his ass.
Let's be honest,Jared nomak was a villain but also a victim due to his father's experiments so while he had to die it was a sad death of a really cool villain
This is such a great scene because of just how powerful and unstoppable Nomac feels. Blade shatters his arm with a compound fracture and Nomac just resets his own bones. Like holy fuck. He's such a intense character because he fights out of pure rage. There's no amount of pain you can inflict upon him to stop him.
@@joshuagarcia5804 Frost barely did anything, got chopped up healed, hit blade once then started taunting him and missing most shots before quickly dying. Without the godly vampire blood tripping on him frost would have died 10 seconds into the fight after getting chopped in half
@@danteinferno4785 He didn't get the full power of La Magra. His vampire girlfriend killed one of the ancients during the ritual, so he only collected 11 souls. The ritual required 12 souls.
The CGI looks better in this scene that in the final fight of Black Panther. They have 16 years of difference. Edit. Thank you all for the likes, I never meant to say that Black Panther is a bad movie. Both films are pretty good, but sadly BP suffered from hasty post-production and yet the film has plenty of heart and passion in it.
0:54 nomak is by far the most powerful blade villian and was the hardest for blade to win. Dracula was the weakest notice how blade didn’t have a blood upgrade against Dracula and still won But with nomak blade got the biggest blood upgrade ever by going in the blood pool which is blade full power and still couldn’t beat nomak that shows nomsk can beat Dracula easily and it shows nomak is blades most powerful villian while 2nd is frost while the weakest is Dracula. Plus nomak is the only person blade ran away from 1:48 0:55 alone is proof nomak is blades most powerful villain 1:00 blade has the look of what the fuck he’s way too powerful. Nomak can beat Dracula easily This blade can also beat Dracula easily too
Yeah, Nomak's superior strength, his ability to instantaneously heal, regenerate limbs and even mend broken bones on the spot made him practically unstoppable. Blade being able to last as long as he did is pretty remarkable. But it looks like Nomak chose death for himself by just finishing what Blade started.
Man, they put a lot of conscious effort into choreographing the first two blade film fights. Especially here. It emulates a real fight as well as great martial arts. The rough and rugged brawl style, fused with impeccable form. It showcases both of the fighters fighting styles authentically. Blade’s precision meets a Nomak’s Brawl style. Blade is even forced to brawl in parts, in order to regather and find some kind of control. It’s actually brilliant. Shows just how smart Blade really is. Genius film.
@alexandromaldonadoigdromal8261it was drake honestly. once drake went ancient mode it was over for blade, blade couldn't even make him budge with those liver combos and that jaw tooth breaking uppercut.💀
Definitely the best final fight in the trilogy. Dominic Purcell as Dracula was a joke and Stephen Dorff was ok. Nomak definitely was the toughest opponent Blade encountered.
@@TheCanada416 just because someone likes it more than you doesn’t mean you should try insult them 🥴 As far as comic book fights go this one is definitely up there
John Wick is a mixed bag because the weapons handling is very realistic but the fighting is still stupid. Keanu holds and reloads in a perfect stance, while waves of screaming idiots run at him to get shot
Are u Kidding Me Like Robert downey jr as Iron man,,,Wesley Snipes Mix with Blade characters perfectly. His style his Ego as same as Blade.Ali is great for Drama/Crime Theiler but as action superhero he is not as Wesley Snipes level.
the cheoreography in this fight is pretty damn good, even in 2020. A little hard to keep up with and obviously not done in a single shot, but you can see actual martial arts in this
@@brucef310 "top this legendary cbm trilogy with a pg rating"... What part of your reading comprehension made you think I was talking solely about this scene???
They wont i feel marvel will turn it into Blade trinity and we saw how that turned out. Weak boss too many jokes and overall a let down 1 and 2 will be blades movies
I watched Blade 2 for the first Time when I was 13. Now I am 32 and I am still loving this movie and appreciate every scene. This is the movie why I like Guillermo del toro so much as an director.
Everyone always talks about their favorite villain. Joker Frieza Darkseid Thanos... Nobody ever talks about Nomak. Highly, and I mean super fucking HIGHLY underrated villain.
It's something about the original actors that always draws you to them. Wesley Snipes as Blade, Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, Michael Keaton as Batman. Even if later actors to portray the role did great, the originals are the ones that stay with you.
Lmao yeah I always thought that looked a little ridiculous, but still cool. I just though to myself "whoever choreographed this must have been watching wrestling." Then they cast a wrestler in the next one, so maybe whoever was behind these Wesley Snipes blade movies liked wrestling.
This was one of my favorite fight scenes of all time. Out of all the opponents who blade faced off with, it was nomak who gave him a serious challenge. Hell he damn near beat him. That was impressive
I love how no matter how badass the characters in this movie series are, they all can feel pain, and they all have weaknesses. That just makes them cooler in my eyes. They still take risks.
Can we give props to Blade’s shades tho?! This man done been in a vicious fight and not once did them shades come off! Not even one of the lenses cracked 🤣🤣
This is the best fight scene out of all three movies. The choreography and cameras effects really highlight the speed and ferocity as these two beat the crap out of each other.
@Mihael Jelić I agree, Nomak was giving it to him pretty good, even though blade was putting up a good fight but ultimately, Nomak wanted to die. To reply to the OP, to be fair I seem to recall Dracula gave it to him pretty good.
This movie is too ahead of its time EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOVIE but this part is the icing on the cake 0:54 They dont make them like this no more & a lotta times they do it VERY wrong Ex: Twilight Creed 2 was good @ this
@@nealp8263 LOL the only person here whose "talking nonsense" is YOU and YOU alone, you say that he's "decEnt" and the say he's a "good actor", which one is it? Based off of everything he's shown, he's a GREAT actor entirely so!
This villain Nomak was the most badass, vicious, dangerous of them all. Much more dangerous than Deacon Frost and Drake. This guy was extremely close to killing Blade!!!!!!!!
Even though the cgi has aged and looks floaty in this scene, as thought neither of them have any bones, it weirdly enough adds a whole new style to this fight, they're both inhuman, so it makes sense for the fighting and movement to look inhuman
The leaping around effects in the first fight scene with Asad and Nyssa was pretty bad. The rest of the effects were pretty good for the times. Even now, the chin opening up special effects are super good. The makeup and costumes are also really great.
I like that nomaks death is much more peaceful compared to all the other reapers, almost like he finally finds peace for the first time in his existence. I also found him more of an antagonist than a real bad guy.
His reaper mutation caused him a lot of burning pain, like a constant intense fever. When the blade was stuck in his heart, he finally was relieved of his pain. I agree he is more of a tragic antagonist than a true villain.
@@omnipotiscience7251 The villains are the true heroes of their movies every one knows this the only reason why villains are vilified is because they cross the line while heroes can't stomach to make the same choices .
That was an marvel movie back in the day. So intense so powerfull fight. Now this era like a cartoon... No blood eveyone is joking. Nomak is thousand times scarier than Thanos comedy
There was nothing funny about Thanos. Every scene he had was serious. And, there is blood in the movies. Just not this much cause, no r rating and for now, no vampires.
The MCU's Blade needs to be rated R. I can't imagine the new version getting the kind of intensity, brutality and violence the character needs under PG-13 rules.
Would have loved to see a duel between Nomak and Dracula, the 2 ultimate Badass Villains. Would be a close fight. My money would be on Nomak as he clearly defeated Blade with unbelievable skill and regenerative powers. Amazed Blade hung on as long as he did in the fight. Nomak, A Super Vampire, probably the greatest Vamp of all time.
Nomak is definitely the strongest besides Blade himself but Frost was pretty powerful too once he got the blood powers. Here’s the question who’s stronger Full power Blood Frost or Drake?
@@canontheory Frost appeared unstoppable with remarkable speed a god after getting Blood empowerment from all the Vampa. My money is on Frost vs Dracula.
@@canontheory that's a good question, considering that Drake is stated to have the purest/strongest vampire genetics in his blood than any vampires in the series, so he's definitely physically more stronger than La Magra Frost. Then again, La Magra Frost posses a tremendous speed that even Blade cannot even react to, and I doubt Drake is faster than Blade. Plus he can regenerate his severed body parts pretty easily, So Frost have the speed advantage and regeneration. With all that being said, according to the official Blade Wiki, Frost was killed using 5 serum of EDTA Anticoagulants, which would explode if mixed with a normal vampire's blood. It doesn't work the same way with Blade and it even feeds him like blood would. With Drake, he was killed with the Daystar virus. The doctor that made it stated that there's nothing, NOTHING that could ever harmed or kill Drake except for the virus which were mixed with HIS own blood. Imagine that, the only thing that was strong enough to destroy your blood is your own blood. Now in combat, Drake in his base form would probably struggle with Frost at first since base Drake is equal to Blade, and Frost would just outspeeds him, not to mention that just slicing up his body won't work. But the instant Drake transformed into his true demonic form, there's not much that Frost could do, as Drake is far stronger and more durable to be damaged. Drake on the other hand, could potentially kill Frost since his vampire genetics is far, far more potent than any vampires. I doubt Frost even with La Magra would survive getting bitten by Demon form Drake. So yeah, sorry if this too long, just wanted to share some info.
@@Daxons I pretty much agree with your assessment. I think In a physical fight it goes Demon form Drake equal or greater than La Magra Frost, then Nomak, then base form Drake. I could picture demon form Drake and La Magra Frost having a very long fight with demon from Drake probably having greater stamina and possibly feeding on La Magra a Frost. Physically I don't think Nomac is not a match for either of them but if he happened to bite one of them he could possibly infect Drake or Frost.
Nomak was my all time favorite villain, he's charming, tough, and your able to sympathize with him. All the while dressed as a homeless guy. Edit: okay maybe not charming😂
Actually while he is dressed like a bum, if you take a good look he's wearing a lot of different layers of clothes which kinda gives him a unique look. I like his design. Cargo pants, boots, brown coat, scarf, etc. He looks gritty.
This is you how do a fight scene between the protagonist and antagonist. Have very good choreography and have the fighters about even in skill and have less CGI in the fight. This has got to be one of the best fights in Superhero movies along with Hellboy vs the Elf Prince, Tobey Maguire era Spiderman vs Green Goblin and/or Doc Ock, Captain America vs the Winter Soldier, Batman vs Bane, etc.
fun fact the blade franchise saved comic book live action movies... BTw this movie is the 3rd best rated R marvel Live action film... 1st being Deadpool 2nd logan..
