Not just the movie version, but the CHARACTER in every form he's appeared in, comics, games, cartoons, etc. He existed 25 years before Snipes ever played him, he was amazing before Wesley and after Wesley. Wesley isn't Blade, Blade is Blade. If you disagree then you've only seen the movies and you're a Wesley fan, not a Blade fan.
@@DavidNefelimSlayer but yeah my entire point is that trying to confine a character who's been around for half a century to one actor when blade will outlive you, me, and wesley is just grasping at a past that's never coming back, my friend. There will be many Blade's before humanity or Marvel ends, gotta move on someday.
I think they should give Mr. Ali the opportunity since it is true that Snipe is the only Blade but that's how it was with Batman, no one believed in Ben and it turns out that he played one of the best Batmans. I hope they show Mr. Ali's movie to see if he deserves the role of BLADE
I understand that there’s only one Blade but imo the actor portraying Blade now isn’t too bad at all. It could’ve been worse so I’m not complaining too much on this one.

This guy is a great actor but he does not have the gravitas required to replace Wesley as blade. Wesley looked so good in deadpool that he better still be Blade.
Snipes will always be the standard, like Connery to Bond. But Ali can tell the young blade story in line with Wesley's vision. And a combo movie with young and old blade would be amazing. "From the dark side, baby. Don't be afraid. You can't fight the thirst; Nor escape The Blade."
All these comments are stupid. The reason Bond movies have been around for over 50 years successfully is because they replace the main actor. Asking for a 60 year old Wesley to play blade going forward is beyond nonsensical
I'm torn. I respect both actors highly. Mahershala Ali is super versatile as an actor and would make a great Blade , but Wesley Snipes set the bar so very high...... damn its hard to figure out who'd be better or the best until I see Maharshala Ali play the part.

A real Blade would never wear Harry Potter glasses. You only spoil everything with your innovations without adhering to the canons. And I am more than 100% sure that you will not be able to write the same atmospheric music as in the first film.
This is EXACTLY why the strike happened last year and WHY its happening on the interactive (video game) side. If you're able to do this as just a regular person imagine what the corps and studios want to do
Why are they even bothering? Just re-release the original in theatres. Oh, wait, Disney didn’t own Marvel then. So, they need to remake it to make it theirs. All that said… I’ll still watch it. Once it is out of the theatres.
I’m so confused is Snips in it or did they just want to remind us how perfect he was for the role.. Mahershala Ali is a great actor but for me what made Snipes perfect in role was his martial arts skills. It just made not just fights but the style so much better than you could do otherwise
Out of curiosity. I too believe WS was a perfect fit for Blade, but could he still pull off the role? He even said it was a lot to get ready for the small amount in the Deadpool movie. I will say this, If Hugh can pull off Wolverine at his age, why can't Wesley?
For a movie to be successful, it needs a clear vision and a solid artistic proposal, rather than just cashing in on nostalgia by bringing back the same actors. Having an actor like Wesley Snipes, iconic as he may be, doesn't guarantee a good film. What really matters is the intent behind the project: does the film bring something new, or is it simply relying on familiar elements to maximize profits?
I'm not watching unless we got the OG Wesley Snipes. Mark my words, I know hundreds of men like me agree that this movie will fail. BTW, anyone doing a boycott?
