So happy to see a continuation of this series, it's the movies that saved marvel from bankruptcy. Stay nice dudes!

Man, the two Blade movies were so good. Imagine if they made a third one.

Luke Goss and Del Torro have made two of my favorite antagonists in any film world. Nomak and Prince Nuada are fucking AMAZING antagonists and deserves so much more recognition.

Guys just so you know they didn't speed up filming to make Snipes appear faster he is ( at the time) or was just that fast with his punches. In fact, they asked Snipes if he could slow down his movements for easier filming. By now I'm sure some commenters have mentioned that Snipes has trained in several martial arts over the past 40+ years.

Fun fact the scene where Norman Reedus is eating Krispy Kreme donuts...in the script they had his character originally eating White Castle sliders. White Castle corporation aggressively declined being in the movie and immediately made their own movie called Harold & Kumar go to White Castle.

This was such a great sequel.....the editing and music are absolutely amazing and Snipes kills it again as Blade. The blood rage scene synced to "Calling all freaks"........OMG so good

"Whistler: they took him, and turned him into the thing I hate most." (I really wanted him to say "taxes". Lol)

Guillermo said in interviews Wesley/Blade working with Vampires is 1 of the only reasons he agreed to do this movie. Kind of a Vampire Dirty Dozen is how he put it.

Donnie Yen was the fight/stunt choreographer on the movie, that's why he has a little cameo role. He wasn't supposed to be in the movie at all, but they liked him so much they just wanted him in there for a little bit.

This movie was basically the casting call for Hellboy and Hellboy the golden army. I hope you’ll give those two a watch after the Blade series. Also the type of “new” vampire in this movie, was the inspiration and used in Del Toro’s The Strain series. Which is an amazing series and books.

Two nice pieces of trivia: the "reaper" design was the first draft that Del Toro would end up using in his own book/TV series, "The Strain". And the recurring bald vampire is Santiago Segura, a close friend to Del Toro's who is also a known spanish actor and director. During the door scene, when he speaks that vampiric made up language to ask the other vampires to let him in, just before Blade uses him as a human shield, two words are clearly distinguishable if you speak spanish: "torrente tres". Torrente is a series of spanish films, starred and directed by Segura, and by the time Blade 2 came out, Segura was trying to gain funding (and make some marketing) of the third installment of the series, Torrente 3 (tres, in spanish).

As a Marvel stan, it was the one film I was okay with them leaving alone because I don't think a PG13 Blade can do better.

You know a movie is loved when the sequel can pull so many great actors. I enjoy how enthusiastically you guys geek out over stuff. Great reaction!

Not only is this one of my favorite Marvel movies... its one of my favorites in general. This one definitely set the bar for superhero movies whether people know it or not.

It’s depressing as hell but I loved the entire run of The Strain television series. It’s del Toro and a compatriot revamping his ‘strain vampire’ idea in a much more interesting end-of-the-world framework.

Luke Goss as the baddie..... Once a pop star in Bros in the 80s, now one hell of a great actor.

Blade II is the best bc of Guillermo Del Torro!!!! The fact Wedley Snipes showed up in What we do in the shadows on the vampire council is the best thing ever!

Found you guys while reviewing blade one and it was fun to relive with people watching it for the first time. Was sad you didn’t have blade 2… till today!

I really feel like you guys would like the Spawn movie with Michael Jai White and John Leguizamo. Maybe it will be on a vote some time.

I might have to bite the bullet and become a patron for a while just to get the chance to suggest and potentially vote for Blade: Trinity in an official capacity. 🤣

My favorite of the trilogy! Also the guy that played Nomak was the same guy that played the villain in Hellboy 2 which was a good movie.

The vampire that gives Blade the scroll saying the vampire nation wants to meet was Danny John Jules who played Cat in the UK TV series Red Dwarf.

It will never not be absolutely joyous to me that Danny John-Jules got cast in this movie. Danny is a well-loved British comedy actor, best known for his role as "Cat" on my favourite sitcom of all-time "Red Dwarf". It's mad he got this part. Maybe GDT saw him in "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels" & really liked his performance. Heck, maybe GDT is a huge Red Dwarf nerd :D

Now for Blade: Trinity. 😂 You're in for a ride

Blade always had so much style and I loved every over the top moment. In my opinion it's the perfect balance of gritty and silly like Spawn, just executed better.

The actor playing the main reaper is Luke Goss, also played the main bad guy in hellboy 2 for more del torro connections. Oddly he was also 1/3 of the British boy band Bros

Blade went from TOP Badass, to full on HP Lovecraft. You can't go wrong. Blade is the BEST.

Quick fun fact about Nomak that you (and most of your audience) are likely not old enough to know, Luke Goss was the guitarist in a pretty popular Britpop boy band back in the late 80s with his twin brother Matt and a friend, Craig Logan. Craig kinda disappeared into the background/management side of music, Matt's still making music, and obviously Luke is making movies. Very few of them make much of a splash, but he's ALWAYS good in them.

I voluntarily watched this in theaters 3 times when i was a kid. Blade's always been, unequivocally, my shit.

I had no idea Del Toro directed this movie (saw it on TV and didn't catch the credits), no wonder the monster effects were so good. Man knows his stuff.

The scene with her slowly disintegrating in the sunrise was first video clip i have ever extracted :D So beautiful.

It’s not possible to not appreciate Blade 2 on some level. An extremely enjoyable film. Great reaction.

For Blade One, I would give it an A or A+. And for Blade Two, I'd give it a B to B+. The effects are much cooler in number two because of the advances in the effects. Story wise, kick ass story.

Nice! One of the best sequels in the Trilogy! Guillermo Del Toro took over the director's chair this time. He went on to win Best Picture and Best Director for The Shape Of Water as well as Best Animated Feature for Pinocchio.

The Soundtrack was also badass like the one from "Judgement Night". A EDM artist coupled with a hiphop artist for every track.

The Norman Fetus joke was a long running thing and hearing you say it made me snort lol, even funnier when we all got the Death Stranding trailer way back it just took off 🤣

I want a movie where Keanu's Constantine, Wesley's Blade and Jennifer Garner's Elektra to all exist in one movie. All are within the Marvel universe. But I can only dream lol

The drop off from the quality between Blade 2 and 3 is diabolical, Wesley def deserves blade 4 as a redo

The bad CGI moments can be forgiven as everything else in this movie is a god damn masterclass of brilliance! :D

It's crazy and yet cool that you guys STILL don't have any kind of channel intro or banter before the movie. It's always just straight at it.

You guys are hilarious! Great reactions! And yes Wesley Snipes is a handsome man and he kicks ass. Until he seriously injured his knee in this movie. To this day his knee hurts which affected his ability to super fight.

Also fun fact I don't what version it is but during the warehouse fight, I think the theatrical version before they stalemate with that cgi wideshot, Blade uppercuts her but in another version he kicks her away

Im late to the party since I just found your page, but the other cool thing about this movie is Guillermo del Toro bringing in Tim Bradsreeet for visual design. The first movie blatantly ripped from the designs in Vampire: The Masquerade and Bradstreet basically found out when he saw the promo shots. Later on, production admitted they used his work as "inspriation" and never contacted him. For Blade II, del Toro reached out to Bradstreet saying "I want you to get paid this time."

The guy from 3:37, is a Spanish director and actor, Santiago Segura, friend of Guillermo del Toro. The phrases he says in x language are actually advertising for his (in that year) next movie and friends "Torrente 3" "David Trueba"

Now you guys need to watch the original 2 hellboy movies if you havent seen them. Besides, Ron Perlman and Del Toro, Luke Goss who played Nomak is the villain in the second movie as well.

He's trained in Jeer Kune Do, Muay Thai, Tai Kwon Do, kickboxing, judo, karate, wushu, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, hapkido, and Wing Chun, just to name a few. The perfect martial arts master! He also apparently held political office for a time. 15:27 ...Okay, that's worse than a Flerken.

This is one of my favourite movies, along with Dredd and Scott Pilgrim. Blade 2 is such a lean movie with no fat on it. The introduction of The Blood Pack is glorious and Ron Perlman's reveal is sooooo satisfying.

I am glad you guys liked this so much. I personally was never able to get past some of the abysmal CGI in the fight scenes, but I loved Del Toros style and Nomak was awesome. Fun fact the actor who played Nomak was also Prince Nuada in Hellboy II.

I didn't knew Del Toro was doing a Frankenstein movie. I really hope he sticks to the original book's description where the monster was way closer to a comic book superhuman like Jared Nomak than a clumsy brute.

Also cool to add that Luke Goss, who played Jared Nomak and Prince Nuada in Hellboy 2, another Del Toro movie, also played Frankenstein's monster in the miniseries. Everything's coming full circle.

Donnie Yen was the fight choreographer, that's why stylistically Blade 2 feels more fancy and stylized compared to the brutal "street fight" style of the first film. However, Donnie did say that Snipes is the real deal. Everything he choreographed, Snipes could execute it and then some. Snipes even changed some of Donnie's choreography to retain the forceful punches and more direct strikes without any flourish because he said that's Blade's fighting philosophy.

Blade two is the definition of don’t play God because the reapers are just genetically built vampires

Norman Fetus is actually an apt description after the trailers for Death Stranding.

The action and soundtrack for this movie was a huge step-up from the first one.

I just noticed something in this video. At 13:34, when they were talking about somebody on the roof, there were a few frames of some unknown person. I am going to have to pull out my copy and look for this.

I always proffered Blade II to the first because they ground their vampires as wholly biological but end up going hocus pocus for the big bad in blade, but in blade II everything is grounded and scientific.

Reason why Wesley Snipes movements look so clean is bcuz, like Donnie Yen, he has trained in martial arts since he was a kid and is like a 7th degree in karate and several degree in others. So he's a legit bad-a55 muther you don't wanna Fk with! 👊🏿💥

So weirdly enough I think the Blade TV show, which exists by the way, begins in russia. I just don't know where the show connects to the trilogy (it was supposed to).

Yall should watch to Wong foo if you like Westley. Him, Patric Swayze and John Leguizamo play drag queens and go on a little adventure. It's such a good movie and so different
