The fact that this was a box office flop and yet Jumanji was a success, means people are getting dumber. No other explanation.

This movie came out at the wrong time: where stupid remakes overfilled the box offices. This movie was not a remake. People didn't know. This was a pure original.

The only reason this movie was a box office disappointment is because audiences now dont understand deeper meanings or have an attention span more than 10 mins. This movie is a masterpiece.

i was so sad when no one liked it. i remember walking out of the movie theatre with awe at this movie, but all of my friends were disappointed. they all thought it was too confusing, not enough action. i still love this movie, and am so glad people are finally accepting that it is incredible.

Watching this at the cinema in 2017 was absolutely the greatest cinematic experience of my life. Never have I been so absolutely captivated and awe-inspired by a film. It is nothing short of an unadulterated masterpiece.

Holy... There are no words that I can use to even begin to describe how amazing of an experience this was. For the longest time I've always loved the cyberpunk genre. I finally stuck my thumb out and decided to watch the original Blade Runner a day ago, I instantly fell in love with the film. I found out that there was a sequel, and keeping with the mentality of sequels being severe downgrades on their previous, I thought it would be underwhelming. Boy was I wrong. Immediately, the atmosphere struck out so wildly to me. The first scene, establishing the amazing yet familiar world of Blade Runner. This movie is a cinematic masterpiece and an absolute marvel. I wish I had heard of this sooner.

When Ridley Scott chose Denis Villenueve to direct this movie I think he made the greatest decision ever. Denis's directing style just works so damn well in this movie

In a weird way, I’m glad this movie flopped financially; if it made a billion, they would’ve made a million sequels by now and I’d bet they wouldn’t be nearly as good Instead we get this undiluted masterpiece. Who knows in 20 or 30 years we could have a 3rd masterpiece?

It is absolutely unbelievable that this failed in the box office. Watching this in theaters was such an enthralling experience in every way. I watched it in IMAX on opening night, and I wish I could do it again. This is the best movie ever made imo, just perfect.

This is the most expensive R-rated film ever made. They could've made the safer business decision and made it PG-13, but they did right by us fans. PLEASE, don't let it fail at the box office! Villeneuve, Ryan, Harrison, and everyone else that worked on the production clearly deserve this to be a success.

Sometimes there comes a movie that sticks with you long after you've watched it. You keep coming back to relive the experience. This is one of those movies. That ending man. So sad.

I'm laughing my ass off at the people bitching that this movie was long and boring. If you're going in to watch a sequel to a movie do yourself a favor; research what you're going to watch ex. Run time and type of film. 2 watch the original. That should give you a giant perspective. Don't go in watching la la land and expecting an action movie.

When I first saw it at release I thought it was a great movie, a worthy sequel. Since then I watched it many times and it just kept digging deeper into me every time. Almost every character and every scene has enormous depth to it even if it is sometimes told in the subtlest ways. I am now basically obsessed with it. The only thing I can't forgive is that they revealed who the child is instead of letting the viewers come to a conclusion by themselves.

Sequels are either a benefit or a hazard. If they're a benefit, it's not my problem.

Denis Villeneuve directing? Ridley Scott producing? Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Dave Bautista, Jared Leto and Robin Wright as the cast? Roger Deakins as cinematographer? Johann Johannsson as composer? Hampton Fancher back as Screenwriter? This is going to be special.

This film is unbelievable. Everything about its feel, from visuals to music is incredible. Blade Runner 2049 pays homage to the original while telling a phenomenal story and developing this fascinating world.

Everyone would tell me that this movie is boring and they couldn’t finish it. If you hear something like this, just ignore them. This is now in my top 3 favorite movies, what a masterpiece holy sh*t, I just can’t stop thinking of what I saw.

Vangelis is a musical genius. His score to the first film is one of the main reasons why that movie is so special. His absence in the sequel will be missed. Sorely..

The most well thought out sequel to a film ever, adds to both evidence for and against declare being a replicant whilst still retaining the same mystery from before. A good plot, an interesting philosophical discussion starter and a brilliant feel that retains the original and only adds to it further. Loved it

Was already stoked from the beginning with the cast and crew of Gosling, Ford, Bautista, Wright, Leto, Scott and Villeneuve. Now this trailer has me even more excited for it.

I think this is one of the greatest sequels ever made. Up there with The Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, Terminator 2, and Top Gun: Maverick!

I don't understand the hate for this film. It looks extremely promising. We have the director of Arrival, Prisoners and Enemy. Ridley Scott is excutive producer. The same composer from Arrival and Sicario (another film by Denis). What's so bad? The original Blade Runner wasn't a financal hit, so how is this a cash grab? Ryan Gosling is an amazing actor (Drive, La La Land, A Place Beyond The Pines) and so is Harrison Ford. And while Jared Leto's previous perfomance in Suicide Squad wasn't great, he did a fantastic job in Dallas Buyers Club and even took an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. I just don't understand the hate.

This film is a masterpiece. Saw it twice in theaters and if it was still available, I'd definitely see it again.

Movie was so ahead of its time, glad its getting alot of recognition nowadays, the same way the original became a cult classic after release

Am a huge Blade Runner fan and have to say the movie did not disappoint at all. Bloody brilliant story and it's connection with the original film, new characters, atmospherics/lighting is so good ( which the original also had in spades ), even the music score is extremely good.. not in the same greatness as Vangelis which there are hints and a homage within the film. Quite long but it's worth every second and every minute.

And funny thing is - the fact that this was a flop is a good thing. Othervise, we'd have a brand new franchise on our hands. And artistry would've left the building pretty fast. We'd have flying-car-chases and robot armies climbing the buildings and fighting on the airships and the airships crashing to the ground with robots fighting on them, etc.

I just finished watching an incredible movie that left me in awe. The cinematography was exceptional and the overall cinematic experience was simply brilliant. However, my personal favorite is a movie from the 80s featuring Harrison Ford, which stands out for its stunning music and breathtaking cinematography. The way the music and visuals were blended was truly magical, creating an unforgettable experience that has stayed with me all these years.

Let's just be honest: The two Blade Runner films are far better, cooler, more intriguing and more relevant than the whole Star Wars ''saga'' combined.

Although this film didn't do as financially well during release as they hoped, I hope everyone who made this film know that this film will get better and better as time goes on because it was simply well made. This will be one of those films that will stay strong even in the future. Its way ahead of its time, just like the first one. More people will appreciate this film as time goes by. It will be a cult favorite.

People with short attention spans won't enjoy this movie. If you are one of those people that likes "light" movies and not complex stories that pay attention to detail rather than just watching it and not thinking about anything. Then.. This isn't the film for you. On the other hand, if you love a rich, deep and compelling story that immerses you within the universe. Then it's a masterpiece. My thoughts on this movie, is that it's one of the best sci-fi movies made in a VERY LONG time. It's 10/10 for me, but it's not for everyone.

The fact this film flopped financially is proof that we have failed as a society.

When Drax, Han Solo and The Joker come together you know it's going to be a good movie.
