@GrayWolf2036 Please stop with the misinformation. Cuba is not Spain's colony, just like the U.S. is not England's colony. Cuba is a country that liberated itself from Spanish rule in the 1800's. After the European "conquest" of the island, no indigenous natives were left alive, so all white Cubans are of European ancestry: Spanish, Italian, French, etc. Ana's ancestry, like that of 90% of white Cubans, is Spanish/European, but she, like all Cubans, is 100% CUBAN and proud. She herself identifies as a Cuban actress and is always talking about her love for Cuba and visiting her family there. She was there for Thanksgiving and wrote on her Instagram story how proud she is to be Cuban. Just like William Levy, Ruben Cortada and his partner, Cuban model Susana Pino, she had to find opportunities outside of Cuba's failed Communist government. By the way, in the film, Joi's ethnicity is Cuban. That is Ana's doing! 😂🇨🇺🇨🇺✌

Nonsense. Software with feelings is always a complex role. Plus I thought those are the most unique scenes and idea in the movie: the robot falling in love with the AI.

She had one basic role in the film. Walk around with pouty lips telling K how special he was. Oh yeah, she did have to strip naked. I am not sure how she managed to pull off that complex move. Maybe one day, I can learn how to strip naked;p

Ben - I could possibly buy that but her characters idea of being real is bringing home a prostitute to get K off. Real in relationships is two people weathering real obstacles like cancer, job loss, kids, etc...not a woman romping around in a mini skirt conjuring up ways to get a man off. Her character was the classic haphazard splicing of a female naked body into the script to arouse male viewers and pander to the male gaze. Yawn!

Ben - sex is real. And hopefully it involves a man and a woman wanting to please one another. Not a woman on bent knee waiting on the money shot...which is how women are portrayed in film. That isn't sex. That is male fantasy at the expense of real women. As for those other movies, I cannot comment. Never seen them. I wrote in more detail about blade runner in my blog.

Ben - I guess what I'm trying to say is the problem is that's it's constantly women's bodies that are used and hypersexualized while men get to be the ones doing, or viewing the object. This is sexism and it's also damaging to women, especially young girls.

Relationship is complex because she demonstrates the whole argument of whether or not replicants are considered real humans or not. In the film, she has demonstrated every part of emotional aspect, yet it still begs the question of whether it was real or fake. Stop making sexist arguments out of everything. I don't see you complaining about the male slaves that were purposely created to be scums doing our dirty work...where's the equality in that huh?
