About us:

Cheers for the review, Paco. Looking forward to part two :) BTW - great point about the manoeuvrability in chases. Reminded me of Douglas Adams' good looking spaceship parked outside the Restaurant at the End of the Universe: 'Looks like a fish, moves like a fish, steers like a cow.' 😁

The big disappointment was that Free League had a golden opportunity to make both Blade Runner and Alien RPGs capable to match up or even combine as a more complete Space RPG. Anyone who has watched Outlander, Alien movies and Blade Runner movies would agree they could easily be of the same universe and Free League had a chance to make it so, RPG wise. The Blade Runner RPG is good but it could of been so much more.

Must admit, like many more of us, this did seem like the most wonderful (and optimal for tinkering, and campaign variety and longevity) opportunity especially for GMs. I, too, was very excited by the idea. Also, when they had Andrew Gaska on their writing team, who's as close as we get to being able to officially know and define the points of universe-convergence. Yes. Of course, you're right. But… as an argument from a devil's advocate POV: the way the Blade Runner RPG has been designed and written makes it feel far more evocative of the movie(s) and fiction. And the system, to me at least, seems so much tighter for a one/two player - one GM game, which I really like (especially for mirroring the detective genre). It's also worth bearing in mind that, although the settings may match up, the emotional resonances and responses elicited by their cinematic stories are extremely different. So, the fear-replicating tension of stress dice makes less sense when the dominant emotion is melancholic bereavement of self-identity and contemplation of the fragility of moments that make a life worth living. I know, none of that helps when you're itching for the Roy Batty vs Xenomorph fight! lol

Oh... he is! he comes and goes and hardly ever stops anywhere for long, otherwise I would have him on every video because he's mega cute (or I think he is...)
